So, I probably mentioned this before, but the timing of my fight with this friend was terrible. Our birthdays are really close and I always get her something. xP I wanna get her a present, but I'm worried abouut whether it'd be appropriate. Not to mention I'm worried it'll be taken as trying to buy back her friendship...

Drathi, I'd seriously consider not getting her anything. She seems to have made it clear that she doesn't want you in her life right now. By next year if this has all blown over you can get her something awesome, but for now you should just do nothing.

Definitely avoid expensive or elaborate gifts if it would look like "buying back her friendship". Not sure if a token or placeholder gift would be taken better or not.

Persistence is not a virtue here. I mean, I can understand that you don't want to stop being friends with her, but just always being there isn't the right way. It just makes you look creepy.

I try to take it on myself to advise friends against appearing creepy on days other than Halloween.

I think I finally found the phrase that describes my relationship with her, "She constantly mixes up giving me peace of mind with giving me a piece of her mind." As I said before, all of this comes from the fact that I could tell she had not really forgiven me, despite what she said. I kind of forced her to tell me, and here we are.

Mmm, I don't think you need to fret over her understanding your intentions. If you work yourself up because you want to make sure she knows that you want to be her friend, I don't think you need to worry about that. People can be burdensome even when you know that they have good intentions.

Shorter: Chill. Don't put more points in Overheat.

Edit @ "Giving space": Nah, keeping a lower profile still counts as giving more space. Maybe "allowing", or "granting" are better words. Ah, but my word preferences are irrelevant.
