Didn't have any boxes for moving. Now I get a bunch of boxes (soon) but there isn't much time left to pack. Or so I guess. Nobody bothers with telling me things without [whine] brackets. So little can be said with so many words.
Edit: Ah, tomorrow. Maybe.

So after finally buckling down and asking my brother for advice, after the clinchers "wired speed is 100mbs/wireless is 10mbs when it should be 54, sister's wired connection making everything else slow, power light blinking red randomly for past 6 months, consistent failing in diagnostic of DNS query and pinging internet host, random failing to ping default gateway," he tells me the best thing to do is get a new router.
So that's two people telling me this is the best course of action.

[semantics]It's rated to 54mbps but the whole collision detection algorithm (random backoff) and other things is what halves the speed in a best-case scenario and crushes it in typical use.[/semantics]
Really, if an option, I would just never, ever rely on wireless for gaming. I agree with the new router and try popping custom firmware on it (tomato, dd-wrt). Or maybe try that out with the current router and see if it does anything. I forget if I mentioned this when you last asked~
