Research is kind of important to history... Also, you should probably make an effort to learn something from that 'blurry' period, sounds like you have a shitty high school version of what history is right now.

I am astoundingly flabbergasted and more than a little horrified. You can't be a historian and think research is boring. My brain simply cannot process that kind of statement. Doing research is my absolute favorite part of being a historian. I fucking adore wandering the stacks, indexing topics, marking passages for relevance, digging through bibliographies... When I see a good research book for my own collection oh, man, my heart goes doki-doki. <3 <3

Anyway.

My friend messaged me the other day and was like "hey, go get fitted for your bridesmaid's dress. Here's the design"

It's fucking strapless.

Oh my god. Oh my fucking god. How the hell am I going to wear a strapless dress? I'm not even thinking about the fact it's a tea-length strapless dress in fucking December, because it's in Oklahoma, so that could mean anything from sunshine 75 degree to 25 and blizzarding. No, no, I'm wholly preoccupied with the single terrifying idea of a goddamn strapless dress.

I have nothing up top with which to hold up a fucking strapless dress. I don't even own a strapless bra, for crying out loud.

Everything about these last two posts was just awesome. Sorry if I come off as just insensitive to your problem Kino, but, I'm sorry, I gotta laugh at it ^_^

Poor Kino. I feel for you. I wouldn't be able to wear a strapless bra/dress either.

*sigh* More misunderstanding in m posts. xP It's not that I don't like researching. I actually love doing it. It's just that I'm terrible at finding sources. xP ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I like the part about learning in research. I hate the finding part.

I have to use listservs now, and the concept is a bit confusing at times. Keep in mind, I have never used one before. So, I am pretty much still figuring things out. Give me a book on the other hand, and I'd be researching like a mad man--books are a lot easier for me.
