Unless I missed a chunk of the story, Starfe didn't say what the cause of the vomiting fit was other than that it came out of seemingly nowhere. I've had such fits a couple times that I can recall, without being drunk or hungover or anything. (I think one time it was triggered by looking at some visual illusions.)
Also, what a manager.

@PLA: Done! *determined look*
@Drunk: Meh. I will probably get drunk at some point in my life, but right now I feel no need to drink.

Oh, children.
Part of growing up is realizing that you can drink without getting drunk, and get drunk without binge drinking and making an utter fool of yourself and/or risking alcohol poisoning like a dumb twat.

Humanity just keeps on sexing everything, they'd mate with anything, probably even aliens!
I suggest sterilizing all but a few humans so they can go have their fun without making more idiots nya~

Yeah that story had absolutely nothing to do with drinking. I just got violently ill all of a sudden. Wasn't even hungover that day. I cannot, to this day, imagine what made me so sick all of a sudden. Hell, I didn't even feel all that sick after I left work, just that I ached from striking hard tile. But thats okay, given my well known propensity for drinking its not surprising you assumed it had something to do with alcohol. But thank you Negzee for coming to my defense. And about that manager, he lived near my house, I pissed on his lawn a lot when I would walk my dog in the middle of the night. He was kind of a jerk. But I guess so was I.
@Drinking/Growing up: Yeah. Learning your limit is important. I've definitely drank entirely too much before, and I wouldn't recommend it. And it certainly still happens, given the right circumstances, but not nearly as often as it did when I was younger, and still learning. Theres a limit to how much you can drink before you become drunk, theres another limit to how much you can drink before you black out, and theres yet another limit to how much you can drink before you expel everything within you in a torrent of blood and pain. Knowing where those points are is good, and trying to avoid the latter two is worthwhile. Almost everyone drinks too much at some point, but I don't think that total sobriety is the key to a better life. But its important to only drink because you want to, not because others want you to, or because you can't help it. Zamisk, I totally understand what you're talking about, I actually avoided a lot of alcohol centered parties in high school, despite my own propensity for alcohol, because the people didn't appeal to me.

^_^ The night I got drunk on my 25th birthday remains a very very fond memory - for many of you guys as well. I don't regret getting drunk that night, but I will say that getting drunk again is not something I would like to achieve ever again, but that's just because I didn't like the hangover effects or that I had some missing memories (I still do not remember getting on the computer that night to type what I did, haha). Though I think on one other occasion I was tipsy enough to be called just drunk, but I still retained my memories and was not hung over and was still quite functioning - definitely did not want me to drive, though. So drunk or not, unsure, I'm still learning my limits ^_^
I LOVE drinking, though. I have so many favorite drinks. Rum<3 I love it. Going with the proper crowd is everything as well. It's become a sister thing. Whenever my sister and I achieve something, we go out and get us a drink. If it's a Friday night, after a long week of work, we go out and have a drink. We just sit there and talk while trying some new drink that is on the menu that we've never tried before (or trying a familiar one as I love doing...)
@Yuna: Getting drunk isn't scary. Actually with the right crowd it's quite fun. o_O Though I recommend learning where the bathroom stall is before hand. Even being tipsy, trying to figure out a new bathroom's location is quite an adventure... (side note: I once got tipsy/drunk enough that I had trouble thinking enough that it took me several moments to figure out the toilet I was standing in front of had a button, not a lever... I was like "where's the lever! ..... .... huh? what was I doing? Oh! Lever? ... Lever?.... button!" *mutters* and then some bathroom host girl wanted to try to talk to me as I'm washing my hands and I'm thinking "girl, it just took me four minutes to figure out your toilet. Please don't try to have a conversation with me")
Still, yeah, if you do not feel comfortable about it, don't get drunk, but I just hate to think that you are scared of it. It's really nothing but fun. ... Though, I agree. I would never want to drink enough that I would want to vomit. Even on my 25th and being hung over the next morning I didn't achieve that. I would hate to see how many drinks it would take for that, and that would seriously kill the fun of it all.
...

lol I wont get drunk, just a lil drink here and there to dull the edge. Personal control freak so the idea of losing control and doing stupid stuff keeps me from getting plastered.
Apparently in my family Crazy Drunk Syndrome, not violent just Crazies! Serious it's like genetic or somethin. ^^;

I want to kill my roommate right now for being such a pussy. He sleeps the whole god damn day. The least he can do is just let me have my way with the window and blinds. Seriously, he thinks the room is too hot and opens it up, when it was snowing this weekend. I also opened the blinds a little so I can get some sunlight in as well as not get a distracting glare on my computer screen. I get that perfect mix after much toil and then he comes in and SHUTS IT.
I wanna kill him so much right now... I mean, really, he sleeps from 3:30 to about 9:30 every day.

Also, incidentally, I do not encourage nor approve of children under the age of 18 (ie, high schoolers) drinking. In fact if you live in America, where the drinking age is 21, I recommend waiting until you are 21. There's no reason to risk jail time over it, and for the most part under-aged drinkers cause some of the worse problems with binge drinking, alcohol poisoning, and generally just being unsafe and horrifying. There's too much wrapped up in the "novelty" of getting drunk, and the idea that the most drunk people at the party are the ones having the most fun.
