Two completely unrelated rants:

1) This Ocean Marketing thing is really sad. I hate that in order to bring people together for a common cause it's because they feel they have someone they can troll. Not that I'm sure it's not well deserved, but still... *clicks link on 1up to see the most * Haha, oh that's a good comic. I wonder what the last one was... I've not read them in a while. *Clicks the previous button* Oh... >_< and that's why I hate their comics. *sigh* Thanks for the reminder.

Well, they usually have good articles... *goes back to the in hopes of finding something unrelated to the OM bullshit* ..... OH SON OF A BITCH!! ......... :[ This was stupid of me, afterall!!

Edit: You know what, I do kinda want to insert my opinion. There are times that I wish I could draw and this is one of those times, in terms of the Ocean Marketing thing. It's like this in my mind: P-A: "Yes! A cause to fight against! TROLLS OF THE WORLD TO JUSTICE!! YES! Attack Ocean Marketing! No, wait! Trolls come back! Don't insult or threaten wife or kids! No, stop! The controller isn't what's wrong either. Attack THAT GUY... THAT GUY! ... Oh, fuck, they are just attacking everything now.... meh *shrugs* Still fun, though."

Trolling a guy, even one such as this, is not the answer either. I feel like two wrongs were just committed in order to make a right and in the middle of it was an innocent, wonderful product. Fewer people will purchase the product now and Ocean Strategy is now on the minds of everyone and is suddenly on the radar. Bad publicity = publicity. *shrugs* This did all the wrong things. This was something that could have, and should have, been handled internally. Maybe if this had been done first and nothing was resolved, THEN you could release the trolls. Like bullets from a gun, they were fired too quickly with little to no accuracy or control.

Well, I guess you can't expect video game players to be the brightest people in the world.


2) Woke up this morning with a cramp in the back of my leg! o_o Leaped out of bed in .2 seconds, no lie. What scares me: this is the second time this has happened in the SAME SPOT. It was MONTHS ago. Like beginning of the year.

Am I doomed to future calls of this nature?! IS THIS SOMETHING THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN?!!! T-T Damn fucking muscle is sore as hell, now. Last time it happened I was barely able to walk. But this time I was gentler with getting the cramp out (since I felt last time that it had probably been my method) and it seems to be a lot better. Put some mineral ice on it, so hopefully that will reduce some of the soreness throughout the day. >_<

I have that cramping problem as well.

So apparently sleeping is bad for me. Tuesday it was just because I slept too much, causing grogginess. Just what happens when you're body is ill.
Now my neck is stiff, and sleeping keeps it in a single position, causing more stiffness.

For the record, Dave sent out the emails to various places (Kotaku, reddit, PA, Engadget, etc.) and PA was the first to the scene. Don't be like every other idiot that assigns the blame to PA because you dislike them.

Second off, I've been following the situation since it broke and a lot of it is civil and Paul has brought it on himself. There's been no family harassment, short of stupid internet commentary (YouTube is a cesspool, etc.) so don't play that card; it's a stupid argument with no merit whatsoever.

Paul is spinning things like an incompetent buffoon and, across two interviews, has managed to show that all he learned from this was to not underestimate nerds and don't fuck with people bigger than him; he seems to have missed the "Just don't fuck with people in general" part of the big picture here. He asked for this himself at the start of the whole mess. He digs himself deeper every time he opens his mouth.

Nobody is saying "LOL GO AFTER HIS FAMILY COOL" because, fuck, that's stupid. But there's a lot of cart before the horse bullshit going on here. "HE LOST HIS JOB WHY DIG UP HIS PAST?" fuck, that got dredged up before he lost his job (or, rather, client as he's his own boss; he "owns" Ocean Marketing). And, besides, the dredging up of his past was done by Kotaku, one of the original people contacted by this and not the Internet mob as a whole. And it was done in response to him masquerading as someone else to try and quiet the whole thing down.

Also, if you seriously believe that he can spin this to better himself, I have no words for you.

Third, yes, Mike is taking pleasure in this past normal schadenfreude and into "somebody get this man some help" territory. Still, I'm hoping him and Jerry (and reddit, Kotaku, etc.) offer David Kotkin some aid to keep the name of his product out of the water. And maybe get some actual advertising about the disabled gamers use of the controller out there.

I am on my nook so I cannot respond as lengthybas I likw until later but I did want to sat this. There are many ways to go about something. And in this while it might have been partially effective I do not feel it was the proper way. Had it been PA or some1else. My prejudice has nothing to do with this.

I HATE trolls - ok theres aprejudice - and i just feel that launching trolls at prey is downright disgusting. Many of the ppl insulting prolly couldnt give a damn and i doubt the are going to stop. Gabe said it himself. He forfeitted his control the moment he posted it.

Its like hiring a bunch if random thugs. They are now just in it for the bloodshed and i fear the repricussions.

I do hope the least PA could do is SOMETHING to promote this product and the innocent companies caught in the crossfire.

For the record, N-Control isn't that innocent yet. They knew about Paul's behavior before (and even were warned about him prior to his hiring) but went with him anyway. He's pulled this stunt before and it was brought to their attention and nothing came from it.

Not to say they deserve the fallout from this but they're not necessarily innocent. And, besides, a company is responsible for their employees, like it or not. This can be spun to good will for N-Control much like the Redner debacle with Take Two and they've taken steps, so far, to try and do that. I hope the community responds back in kind but we'll see how that goes.

Was this the best course of action? Who knows. Maybe it could have been handled in better ways but, based off the past, one would say that, yes, this might have been the best way. It may be excessive but that's not PA's fault. And, besides, Dave sent this to many places as well and any of them could have also been the ones to break the story.

PA were just the first to the scene. And I don't blame Mike for stepping in when PAX was being used as justification for the mistreatment of the customer. If the product of years of my work was being used erroneously to condemn people, I'd sure as hell be there to say otherwise.

I just found out that Marvel officially supports the SOPA thing. I'm incredibly dissapointed. I sent them in a letter, but it's not going to do anything.

Even if this bill doesn't pass again, I find it incredibly lame that an otherwise awesome company would stand behind something like that.
