Girlfriend and I broke up last night. I'm not too upset about it, but it still kinda sucks.

Today was the shittiest day I've had in ages.

Uh sure.

I got off to a bad start, a lot of little things went wrong all morning and stuff, and there was a math test I bombed, but what really upset me was the fact that in social, my mark went way down due to something entirely out of my control. I was at about a 70%, partly because I had worked my ass of to get a 95% on a big project we did, and since we only did one big project throughout the semester, is was worth 15%. Since my teacher thought that was too much, she made it worth 5% and my mark dropped to 62%. The thing is she gave us no warning and no time to make up for it, other than our final exam and I never do well on tests, I count on projects to keep my marks up. My parents are going to be pissed, even though that's not my fault and there isn't anything I can do about that. They're really unreasonable when it comes to marks, because marks = marks = marks, no matter what I did, and it's my fault my teacher is a bitch.

And little things were going wrong all day really, and I was just kind of miserable. When I got home I spent all night making sprites though, so that was relaxing and I feel better now. Thanks for the concern guys. Just a first world problem day, I guess.

While the out-of-nowhere weighting change is a bit ridiculous and I can sympathize with that, I'm not entirely sure how "I have bad grades but it's not my fault" works.

I had awful grades throughout high school, and though most of it was my fault, there were plenty of cases I'd blame the teacher for having no idea of what is actually important in a learning setting.

One teacher seriously made tests only 20% of the grade. Most of the grade was worksheets and notes, the latter of which I never took because it honestly got in the way of my absorption of the lesson. I had the highest test average in that class and never fucking took notes and failed because I actually learned shit instead of copying things down from a board.
