Dear forums of the Internet:
Stop quoting messages right above you. In addition, stop quoting images and videos in their original form. You can simply edit the quote so that it is something manageable. This makes browsing much easier, especially for those of us accessing the forum on a mobile device.

Of course there are exceptions. Quoting someone above you can be essential for emphasis or you can break apart a post into multiple quote blocks so involved parties and the reader has an easier time understanding your response. A quote is also sometimes necessary when discussion is chaotic and even if you are not ninja'd, you will likely still need to discern who you are addressing.
