So stupid.

One of my brother's piranhas went blind and he wanted to get rid of it. He refused to let me kill it and flushed it down alive instead. All it would take is two quick motions and it would be out. What is worse is he was calling me a sick murderer and telling me to stay away from him.

Please tell me that killing it first would be the right thing to do. All I would have done is grabbed it and gave a slice through the head to sever the brain. It would already have been taken into a separate body of water and at least die in peace. I bet you it took like five minutes to die in the sewage.

Of course killing it is the right thing to do. You're killing it to keep it from suffering and slowly dying, right?

It would be hard for me to do, bit letting somebody else do it is a better way of avoiding that responsibility than flushing it. That's like if they put Old Yeller in an oven instead of shooting him.

I have nothing against flushing a fish down the toilet if it's already dead...but it would have been far easier and less dramatic to just kill it quickly.
