Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
I am going to murder my advisor. =_= I am pretty much in the ABSOLUTE LAST timeslot for registration. So, every class he advised me to take, and the alternatives were filled. So, now I have to run around campus to get SOMETHING. Which means that I might not even be able to get 12 credits to be a full-time student, because of how the scheduling can conflict easily.
=_= Right now, I just got the override for my History course and am waiting for approval. They better fucking approve it. And the thing is this: It makes me even more worried about next semester, because it makes me run across campus in the timespan of 10 minutes, which is barely enough time.
I swear, if I don't get a better Sophomore Timeslot (we go last anyways) than this semester, I will probably snap. Registration should not be making me rage this much, when it was painless last semester.

My car was broken into. Window is smashed, stereo is gone.
Lived in this neighborhood for 20 years and then all of a sudden in this year alone we have people breaking into my house and my car?

@Noodles: Did you at least have insurance that would cover such things? =(
I tend to try and distance myself from the south-western part of the country, the excessive heat/humidity makes me want to kill myself.
Though I've been to Disneyland twice, and to Disney World on nine separate occasions :V

You forgot to mention the Canadian geese Trifkin. Pure evil, those monstrosities are...
*Important note: Not actually a Senpai.

With a photo like this, where the hell else am I supposed to move?
I seriously suspect that this place might be the town of my heart's dreams.

We have quite a few bookshops here. Just not as many older ones in Calgary. There's a ton in Winnipeg, the land of the Roselbutt.

@registration
Heh, I always registered the week before or, sometimes, the week of the new semester. I couldn't enroll until I paid off my bursar bill, and financing was always tight (did it without loans at least) so it'd take that long to get the money together. Nothing quite like registering for classes 5 minutes before they start. Heck, I'd gone to the first day of class without actually being enrolled in it yet.
Kids always drop. Slots always open up. I'd just wait and watch and snipe the open spots.
@noodles
ppffft that super sucks. I'm sorry, sweetie.
@me
My husband wants to move overseas once he graduates. While I'm not entirely opposed to the idea -- assuming I can keep all my books because, fuck you, I'm not getting rid of my books -- I'm a little apprehensive.
Then again, I moved across the country not so long ago. I did fine. I made new friends. I've proven to myself that I can just relocate entirely. I'm already a plane flight away from my family; Virginia might as well be the Moon, is what I always say.
Also I'm annoyed because this is going to turn into me needing to be the one to research everything.

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
He's "narrowed" the list to:
Great Britain (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland)
Canada
Australia
New Zealand
Frankly I'm wary in regards to his and I's ability to successfully relocate and find suitable career positions. I guess that's pessimistic though. I shouldn't think "we can't so we won't even try" but honestly that's how I feel. Maybe if he was a biomedical engineer or a systems admin or something, or if I had a trade/valuable skill. They don't exactly throw jobs at the feet of liberal arts majors, you know.,
