I just applied for a job in Washington. Gonna come hug you.

It's a job with the Forest Service, so, it's actually a matter of where they have vacancies, and they had several vacancies in Washington and Oregon.

So, no clue, is what I'm trying to say. I'll move anywhere.

That's quite far away from where you live now Kino. Would it be a lot of trouble / costly to move so far? And what about mr. Kino?

Whatever. I'm not looking for book-related book, just work. I'm aiming for slots in which my skill set is useful; primarily that I'm a people-person (you have to be, to survive and thrive for 9 years in retail), I'm organized, I have excellent comprehension of essential office devices and programs (switch telephones, word processing, fax machines, printers, etc). I also have a financial background, inventory control system background, etc. so I've applied for a few positions in Office Management/Accounting... I've also been responsible for ad-copy/promotion here at the store, I've organized and executed large-scale events (I'm name-dropping Ted Danson on my resume) and, basically, I'm just a really well-rounded employee for a lot of basic Office/Clerical/Customer Service type positions.

Basically anything I'm qualified for, I'm applying. I've realized I'm perfectly content not having a passion or ambition in life, so I just need to get myself into a salary+benefits type position and I'll be happy. So. Yup.

And, yes, Washington/Oregon is very far from where I currently live. I'm only applying for full-time, salary+benefit jobs that would be worth the relocation. Yeah, it'd be a hassle to pack up everything and move, but I've already done that once. I can do it again.

As for Mr Kino, he's already given me the go ahead. He's a writer, so, his job is perfectly portable. He'll join me after he graduates next spring.

I think I'll play it by ear in the future. I don't need to care about what's going on at work. No writing of notes or remembering things. I don't have to listen when people are talking to/at me.
Because foreknowledge is useless if it isn't true.
