What in the everloving shit is up with Microsoft? Removing shortcuts from my hotbars is "important updates"?

It's not just some random side-effect. I got a huge pop-up in explicit, "dur hurr, this update removed your shortcuts so that you can choose what shortcuts you want to add! Please download some more crap that's already installed to this system while we have your attention!"

You think that's bad? Yesterday, I had a conversation with myself over the phone. (To be clear, this was analogous to me having a conversation with me echo.) I realized about 2/3 of the way through that my window was open and that anyone walking outside could probably hear me.
