?? Why can you not do such things when you're 28? That's just stupid. What's the point of growing up if you can't do silly things?

I think there's a difference between stupid and silly. Yes, 28 (and older) is not a good age to do dumb/stupid things you could have done at 17 instead.
Of course, that doesn't mean you'll never do anything stupid again in your life..

Being silly can make you look immature if you do it at the wrong time/place. Of course, if you're trying to impress a client with your mad skillz or professional disposition, doing silly isn't a good idea.

But at other times/places it can show that you're fun-loving, free-spirited, cool, what have you. If a client is looking for someone who can make a super fun website, letting your inner child (hi pop-psych!) show could be the way to tell them you have what it takes and understand what they want.

Or if you're working in an office or warehouse and everyone is being all bored/gloomy/stressed, you can liven things up/make your coworkers lighten up/destress by doing silly.

Maybe knowing when to be playful and when not is part of that being an adult thing?

^_^ I love you guys. I wish everyone shared the same opinions as you do. I'm still VERY much a kid at heart (otherwise I wouldn't want to do things like shouting into a fan.... or pressing every button in an elevator... or ... this could be a long list).
