There's nothing like sitting back and randomly remembering a computer game that you were very fond of as a child, and wondering if maybe you could find it as abandon ware on the internet, but when you look it up on the internet, this game has articles and youtube videos of people making fun of it and calling it one of the worst games ever created... for the very reasons that you enjoyed it.

<_< I really wish I had not bothered to look it up on the internet and preserved that fond childhood memory. What the fuck... damn people can be so fucking brutal.

Tch... I found the game finally off an abandonware website that I've frequented in the past, but even their fucking game page insults it. Now I don't even bloody feel like trying it. >_> Damn. I'm really pissed off right now.

Well, I didn't think I would be embarrassed in any way, but I guess I should be. Either way...

The game was I.M.Mean. It was (I thought) a cute children's game that was a FPS dungeon crawler mix that instead of unlocking doors with keys, you had to unlock them by fixing grammar and spelling mistakes. ^_^; O-of course that played to my strength as enjoying english. :3 Nothing like sitting there watching my parents play and having them turn around and ask me for help to open one of the doors.

What I did know in the way of flaws:
The animated opening was childish/very silly, but I was still addicted to the song that played (I was 9!). And I do remember some slight repetition but it was a dungeon crawler and the good points of the game out weighed the bad. It was fun to have my parents be playing Lands of Lore and then I had I.M.Mean. I kinda felt that I had a game similar to theirs to enjoy.

I also remember enjoying the fact that the bad guy would randomly show up just to taunt you. It was always a *gasp* moment and I was ready to fight him at any time XD

What I didn't know and found out last night:
The game was animated by the same people that did the CD-I Zelda set.
And to top it off, I guess to the rest of the world, the game was overly repetitive, very stupid, and the education part of it was laughable. And pretty much everything that I mentioned that I liked was absolutely insulted. I don't even want to mention the youtube videos.

....... I have the urge to download the game anyway and enjoy the fuck out of it just to defy the rest of the world. :[

I'm fine with a little bit of negative reviews. That's what gaming is all about. But when you type the name into google and the first results are youtube videos, and sad negativity and NOT A SINGLE POSITIVE REVIEW ....... It tends to piss you off. It's like I want to scream to the rest of the world: IT WAS A GAME FOR 9 YEAR OLDS!! I LOVED IT!!!!

When you post an ad about your wonderful awesome apartment unit in your wonderful awesome building (INALLCAPSEXCLAMATIONNNNSS), but fail to tell me in the listing things like what the rent is and what it includes, or what the parking situation is, and then tell me you don't want your time wasted by responders who aren't serious, you're wasting MY time. Gawd, what is wrong with you. Learn how to post a proper ad.

Edit: Oh, and you also need to learn how to take useful photos and attach them to your posts. Seriously.

But having said that, I'm looking forward to a viewing I've booked at a downtown building (Loring Park area, for any Twin Cities locals on ItL) on Monday. I think I'm done living with housemates for a while, and it will be good to have my own space again.
