This sleeping on the floor in the living room thing is driving me insane. I haven't had privacy in weeks, I can't sleep because roommate has people over and they talk and laugh and play video games and watch programs until the wee hours of the morning (like 4 AM). I'm five feet away on my mattress covering my head with a pillow. And we bought a couch... so now instead of sleeping in her room, Kelly sleeps on the couch. WHY. Why? Oh, because her bed is covered in boxes. @_@; So I wake up and can't do anything because I don't want to wake her up. No coffee. No breakfast. No cleaning, no cat-stench-battling, no breathing.
Four more days. Just four more days and I'll have a bedroom upstairs with a door and I will close it and have real sleep, all to myself.

Still amuses/alienates me when people are surprised by the things I can find out by sitting in the next room when it's vocalised, or by glancing over some Facebook-feed every other month. I can't detect the sarcasm, but it should be unless they're dumb as bricks.

I seem to have the opposite problem. People say things in my presence that I don't hear because I'm focused on something else and they're not talking to me, but they expect me to know anyway.

Many years ago, back in the '90s, I used to play FPS games a lot. From Wolfenstein 3D to Quake 2 I played most of the FPSes of that time. Sure, I used cheats, but I had fun.
A while ago, I tried to play the Heretic series of games again, because I remembered I liked Hexen 2, but had never played Heretic 2. Other things distracted me too, but the biggest problem was that I got nauseous/dizzy very quickly.
Today I tried to play Phantasy Star Online, as part of my quest to play the older Phantasy Star games. Again I started to feel dizzy and nauseous after less than 30 minutes.
Why do I suddenly get this stupid simulation sickness? True, I have had motion sickness all my life, but that wasn't a problem at all playing 3D games 15 years ago. Why must this spoil my fun now? How can I call myself a hardcore gamer if I can't even play a 3D game in a small window?

Sorry to hear that, friend. Not any fun to be unable to revisit classics when you want to.
Apparently some humans experience a staggering increase in susceptibility to motion sickness with age. Your rate in which you become motion sick does not necessarily increase, but the range of causes can increase, unfortunately.
I played TFC back in 1999 often (was about 11?), but when I fired it up for the laughs last year... I found myself getting sick rather quickly. Not just old games; Metroid Prime was one of the worst, where I was out of it in about half an hour of play. Somehow I still manage to finish games like Borderlands 2. Not sure what makes Metroid Prime and TFC harder to deal with.
Ginger helps, for what it is worth.

Old headphones stop working. ;_; I think they're twenty years old.
But I bought new ones.
Half a year ago.
Edit: Underwear-seams cut me again.
