*mutters* not really a SERIOUS complaint, but this is still a complaint.

*sigh* So I woke up and decided I was going to try to give the 3D on my new 3DS more of a chance and try to enjoy walking the labyrinth with it.

I was expecting the slight headache most people complain about, haha, but I actually didn't expect what ended up happening.

-_- My left eye went completely out of focus. I realized after an hour of playing that I was no longer seeing the 3D effect and was not experiencing the expected headache. I realized my left eye had fuzzed out so much that the images of both eyes were no longer even matching, producing a double vision effect, and the 3D actually was failing me.

I think this also has to do with the fact that my left eye is a little lazy in the morning. It is still very annoying. Even turning off the 3D effect I had double vision for a while.

Awww <_< this sucks. I ended up having to put my 3DS down and am now trying to get my eye to focus again. Guess I'll have to be more careful with it in the future. It's all watery, too. Damn, wish I had been paying more attention and not let it get this bad. ^_^; Guess I got too into the game.

Rant of the day: Got into an argument with my mum over irrelevant stuff, she doesn't understand when it's study and serious stuff for me, my Winter break is over in few hours and I do not feel like going back to college.

Parentals bombarding me with messages and texts. They don't even have a topic! It's a bunch of random spam. Every five seconds.

I don't really have a problem with seeing the 3D effect, I just find it annoying that I have to hold the 3DS and my head the exact right distance and angle. Even a centimeter in any direction is enough to turn it into seeing double. Given that most of the time the effect is only used to make text boxes float a little above the background (the Fire Emblem demo was the only exception so far), I just turn the 3D off so I don't get a cramped neck.
Nice idea, Nintendo, but we'll just have to wait for true wearable displays.

The 3D effect seems to work well with my eyes and the way I happen to hold the 3DS to play. I suppose I'm lucky in that regard. Whether or not I'm playing with it on or off tends to depend on the current battery life of my unit. 3D saps it much faster and, even with a modded mega-battery, it's a noticeable drain.

Yeah, I have not had any issues with the 3d either. No headaches, no difficulty with angle, no problem. On the other hand, the only game where it has particularly stood out is Fire Emblem: Awakening. I still have yet to play my copy of EOIV or Kid Icarus: Uprising.

I dunno if it's cause I don't have the brightness set very high or what, but the battery life seems to be holding up pretty well. Actually no worse off than my other systems.

Assuming maximum lighting:

It has a little over half of the battery life of the original DS, with the gap becoming smaller with each successive model being released, trading features and size for progressively smaller energy capacity. Of course the XL of each respective model has a sizable increase in juice, though the original DS is still quite the beast, following more closely to Gunpei Yokoi's vision.

I have not had any issues with battery life on my 3DS. I have seen a red light twice, and both cases required the neglect of not charging it up before bed. That said, I have two places in my living environment where I can play while charging, plus the dock for when it is not in use.

? what is this dock? I don't think I got one whatever it is?

Well, my 3DS XL never got a charging station, so maybe they stopped selling them with the 3DS in order to reduce manufacturing cost that came with the drop in price? I got a 3DS on release date, and the box is much larger than that of my 3DS XL, so I assume that could be part of the change in volume.

I had to order the dock from Nintendo separately.
