Grace was alright.
I wonder if Grace would go for a consciousness transfer or remain an avatar pilot.
As for the colonel, I did not find him to be quite the baby-eater that I was expecting. I almost enjoyed that character.
Huh. I guess I liked the bad guys more than the good guys.
Do not confuse enjoyment of watching those characters with sympathy for their views.
So I went to the movies to see Alice in Wonderland.
I was really looking forward to it and was hoping that it would be really great.
And I wasn't disappointed too much for the most part. I loved the characters, the makeup and the designs and some of the situations she found herself in. However, there was plenty that I didn't like as well.
The story for example fucking SUCKED. It felt like I was watching Narnia only with Alice characters. Uhh seriously... fighting... I mean, I haven't read Through the Looking Glass but to me, there is no room for OMG WAR in Alice. Alice to me is about her getting lost in the damn world again and ever ten seconds something incredibly random happens (like meeting a duchess, a cook, and a baby - getting the baby handed off to her, and then it turns into a pig half way down the road and runs off). It felt like they were trying to put reason into a world where there's not suppose to be reason.
And... the cgi... ok, I've complained about it before. Sometimes I like CGI, other times I wish for the days of Wizard of Oz with costumes <3. Most of the characters were good and a lot of the cgi was done right, but every time the one guy Stayne would move on his horse which would rear up... I caught a lag. A two second lag of animation. It looked HORRID. And then a part of me wondered - wait? was that intentional? But the big part of me feels - hell no way that was intentional.
And then the white beasts' movements as he was running across the field. I can understand giving a creature super-human speed with a lumbering body, that's fine, but I dunno... his foot movement with the ground... it looked aweful. He looked like he was moving too fast for his animation.
Meh, but my favorite scene was definitely where she got stuffed in the teapot. XD I loved that scene for some god unknown reason. ^_^
And the Chesire cat was spot-on.
