Close enough for most everyday purposes. Why are you contesting a 3/8"-ish error?

Just trying to figure out costs for moving out next year, oh boy.
My basic costs next year will be
-rent/utilities/ internet (300 bucks a month, I have this all arranged for September)
-bus pass (90 bucks a month)
-cell (30-40 bucks a month, that's without data. Fuck Canada's phone plans.)
-food/other necessities (150 bucks a month, I've heard that's doable from others)
That leaves about 20-30 bucks for spending money/comics a month which puts me at 600 a month.
Minimum wage here is about 10 bucks an hour, which means I need to make a minimum of 15 hours a week on top of school. Also after scholarships and the money my parents are paying towards tuition, I still have to pull 2000 bucks out of my ass and then whatever books are, and the first month's rent before September. I can't get a full-time job to start saving money until at least exams in June when I have most days off besides a few exams. My boss isn't giving me more than one 3-hour shift a week at minimum wage right now, but I can't quit without screwing over my buddy who got me the job.
That and some prick took my dream job for this summer, one I spent a full month of my time for the past two summers volunteering to one day get. But no, some new fuckwit walks right in and gets that job. Glad I could have helped, guys. My time clearly meant a lot to you.
Bluh.

Re. cell plans: Why don't you go with Wind or Mobilicity? I used the latter for a while. Depending on where you need the cell coverage, Those two could save you quite a bit over Rogers or Bell.

Man. Sounds like you are on top of your shit. Not sure how you're swinging that rent, but I guess you do live in the frosty north.
As for the cash you need to come up with, have you thought about dispensing with some of your worldly goods? I know giving up trades and video games is tough sometimes, but I saw my brother do it to make ends meet when he was first out on his own. It might not be that much money, but its something. As for food, does Canada/Your Province (Alberta?) have some sort of food assistance program? If you're eligible it might be a good way to cut some costs for a while.
ITL should crowdfund your exodus.

Right now it's 60 for me with a 20 dollar rebate from my school, but next year the price goes up when I'm 18 and it's 90 a month with no rebate. Phooey.

It's not, but a lot of people depend on it, hence the price. Parking downtown here is one of the most expensive cities in NA, so the bus pass prices are raised because it's the cheaper alternative for so many people anyways, if I understand the issue right.

Why is there no householdpaper? There isn't even a holder.
