So, I just got screwed over by my health, this week. Last week, on Friday, I started experiencing cold-like symptoms and by Tuesday, it was more like pneumonia. I go to the health center of my school and they send me to the emergency room for respiratory treatment. Apparently the medicine they gave me, along with my condition, and my anxiety of never having been in a hospital before (and having a friggin’ needle in my arm—I hate needles) made my resting heart-rate very high. So, I had to spend the night.

I expected to be let out later the next day, but because apparently my peak flow tests sucked (I was laying down and coughing a lot), they kept me longer. So, now today is the last day of classes for the semester and here is what I managed to get extensions on and what I have to finish by tonight:

1. Revised paper for World Archaeology, including rewritten portions. Due today

2. All the posts I made for online discussions for English—due today.

3. Annotated Bibliography for Medieval History—probably due today.

4. 3 more pages with more sources for my final paper for History of Rome—due today, but got the okay for turning it in next week.

On top of this all, I got to do 12 paragraphs on 12 newspaper articles for each chapter of my Criminology class, prepare for its final, make-up my missed English final (that was today, shortly before I was discharged), take my World Archaeology Final, Rome Final, and beg and plea my Medieval History teacher to give me information about our final. If he gave a take-home test while I was gone, I’m outright screwed if he doesn’t get back to me.

I just e-mailed my World Archaeology teacher, asking for an extension so I can at least feasibly do his assignment. I just got out of the hospital and everyone wants me to turn in assignments. I had planned on finishing his assignment on Wednesday, because writing a revised paper usually takes me a couple days of good writing/editing. I just got back from the hospital and had to stress out getting assignments to teachers... This is fucking bullshit, because the whole reason I wound up there was because the stress made me overwork myself.

That is very unfortunate timing, Drathi. I want to tell you to focus on taking care of yourself, but sadly it would seem you have to bear the burden of illness to handle your workload. Blessed be, friend.

Well, I basically explained to my one teacher things and I got things extended to Monday. So, I got today to unwind. Then when my mother leaves, I can start working on my stuff, tomorrow.
