^ On the other hand, "nebulizer" is a cool word.
I had pneumonia. Your thing sounds worse than that was, but pneumonia is the kind of disease that's almost harmless if you treat it early and will fucking kill you if you don't.
I can't count the times I've been to a hospital. It's just routine.

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
If you have pneumonia, granted I dunno the stage of yours or if it differed from mine (considering I had asthma on top of it), yeah, that inhaler isn't going to provide you much relief. Mine didn't. (Again, I had pneumonia when I was like 12 so it's been a long time, haha). Still, it's a quick remedy.
The nebulizer may look silly but just be glad that you only have to use it until you are well. Sit and deal with it!! XD
Besides, how complicated is yours? There's like only MAYBE four different working parts you have to bother. The machine, the tube, and then the two halves of the mouthpiece - possibly three. I once had a mouthpiece that had the normal two halves where the medicine sat and then the actual "mouthpiece" itself had to be fit in as an additional piece. Which was super annoying since the one I had didn't fit together well and it actually would drip after a while from the steam.
Cleaning is easy - stick it in a dishwasher. Most of mine have always been dishwasher safe (double check yours). The tubing is usually good for a month and you don't need to wash that - since yours is just temp this is a step you don't even have to worry about, or the filter in the machine. Meh, if not dishwasher, just draw up some soapy water and let the pieces soak for a moment and rinse off.
GOD SO HARD!! ^_^ Don't expect to find sympathy in this corner. ~_^ You only have to deal with that thing for maybe a couple of weeks. I've had to deal with the thing since I was in second grade.
Try silly when you are sitting in a nurses office in middle school puffing on that thing and other students are staring at you like "what is that thing...." *sigh* And then they would come up and try to talk me... I was always mentally like "Uhh... YOU SEE ME WITH THIS THING IN MY MOUTH! What makes you think I am open to conversation at the moment?"
Ugg, I always have such an adverse reaction to albuterol. My heart rate increases and then I start to get the shakes and my body feels like it's in hyperdrive - like I just drank 50 cups of coffee in one sitting. I've sometimes felt that I would much rather deal with the not-breathing-well part rather than being drugged up. <_< I once fought the doctors like that. My dad had forced me into the car during a bad episode and drove me to the ER. I refused to be hooked up to the machine.
Nothing like having a doctor and three nurses trying to convince you to sit through a treatment, but I was miserable and just felt downright belligerent. I apologized after it was over. Definitely not one of my finer moments.
@PLA: yeah, ditto on the hospital thing in this corner, too. Drathi, you should consider yourself very lucky you've had such few experiences. XD NOW SIT DOWN AND TAKE YOUR MEDICINE!

^ It could be harder without regular experience. Getting started when there's nothing to worry about. Bloodlancets were more uncomfortable than needles.

@ Maxine: I'm at a dorm with no dish washer. xD That's the problem, I'm having. That and when I have to clean anything by hand, I end up doing a terrible job. Though, mine isn't temp. It's just there to be taken when I need it. The doctor wants me to do it, because I'm clearly wigging out because of the mess this all caused with my classes. So, once finals are over, I should be just fine with the inhaler.
As for my condition, it's not pneumonia, according to the nurses. It's pretty much asthma, bronchitis, dehydration, and sinus tachycardia. My fever was mostly from my heart-rate going nuts.
I do apologize for my crankiness last night. I had very little sleep thanks to that hospital and then I couldn't stop coughing. I had already used the nebulizer 2 hours before--the nurses told me it lasted four hours. I've had a terrible week and when I got back, I did not have the option to relax in the slightest. This year was going so well; I got my shit together after what happened last year.

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
Well, this is weird. My 3DS went red before I went to go eat dinner. I put it on charge and it changed from red to blue and did the soft blink thing. I come back from dinner and the blue light is off, but the charge light is on. o_O huh? Didn't I leave you on?
I open up the system, yep, my game is still there. No blue light AT ALL. I turned off the system, still no light. I checked that it was charging, and yes, it's now at three bars. So there's no scary moment there.
*shrugs* I'm debating if I wanna bother Nintendo for this. Nothing else is damaged. I wonder if the red light will still come on. Huh. What should I do. It's just a small light.

Stupid question: What happens when you power-down the system? A lot of people forget the 3DS can do that.

I think it just stops doing any streetpass stuff and doesn't drain any power.

*cough cough* Second paragraph, second sentence ~_^
Yeah. I turned it off both when it was plugged, then I unplugged and turned it off again. I also did the press and hold to reset the system.
Yeah, the light's not coming on. *shrugs* I've been playing my system all evening. There are no other problems. I'm thinking either a fuse blew inside the system or a wire was knocked loose. It's the only thing I can surmise.
*shrugs* I'm not sending my system away for two+ weeks for a stupid light. Maybe later on before the warranty expires I'll send it in, but I'm not too bothered by it. *shrugs* As long as the system works and I can play my games, I'm happy.

Goddammit, Islanders! All you had to do was hang onto that lead for like 5 minutes.
