I wish I had more conviction in myself. To trust my own judgement and thoughts a little more.

I had this phone call at work. There are two types of accounts: business and individual for our domains. If it's organizational there can be one singular person made that has access over everything but if something happens (crappy employee gets fired before boss man thinks "oh, maybe we should get his credentials so he doesn't lock us out of our stuff") there are methods to override things. If it's an individual: it's usually "sorry, you're pretty much SOL" but the higher departments could do some extra stuff but that's above my head. Of course I'm new and still learning many of the processes.

So I had one such situation today and during the research to find out what has been done for what for this caller because the f-ing moron missed the call or no one called him back yet or whatever HE HAS CALLED AND WANTS ANSWERS NOW.

I did the research for the ticket and at the end there were two words that pretty much translated into 'account copied'. I'm thinking "wtf does this mean?" In the account itself I look and see something even odder.
Beside the holder's name is the symbol for organization and for the account contact's name is the symbol for individual. Which is odd. It's either organization - organization or it's individual-individual. Confused I go to my team lead who looks at the account copied text and says 'they are trying to make it into an organizational account for the guy. send me the info and I'll get this pushed through since the ticket was closed' I tell him the oddity with the O-I that I observed but I don't think he listened/understood and pretty much told me to do what he said. I sit down thinking "umm... maybe the ticket is closed because IT WAS DONE and that's what I'm looking at.... but whatever. Boss man is boss man."

... I had to call the guy up four hours later to tell him "ok, this has been done you can do this now" when I could have told him four hours previous if I had went with my gut. Yeah... IT WAS DONE.

Of course when you're a five month old trainee seriously the times that you're correct about anything is 3 out of 10. :\ It just annoyed me. Spending two minutes to double check my research could have saved the customer four hours.

I clean up after myself. California has a state wide infestation of Argentine ants. Apparently when it rains a lot they start trying to find there way inside.
