So, I'm annoyed. I'm on book 3 of my novels and I'm having a hard time. The first one I only took two tries to get into a state I'm satisfied with. The second was a one hit wonder (I drool over it). The third one though is annoying the crap out of me. The first version I had a few rough ideas but I made my character WAY too mary-sue (but dear GODS it was fun writing it). The second is... I think I lost the thread of my story somewhere. It's not making me happy. I'm at that point where it's like "... why am I writing this?" So today I sat back and drew out a more serious storyline that I'm content with. It wouldn't be so bad if the first verison didn't take me 500+ pages to figure out I'm not happy with it. This second version I reached around the same number. I'm keeping the first section of the second but I'm still concerned. I'm really hoping third time is the charm.
Of course it really ultimately winds down to... I'm having SO MUCH FUN writing this stuff but... <_<; I really should sit down and try to get book one into a publishable state. I'm so nervous, though. >_> What if no one likes my stuff. Maybe I'm deluded. Maybe this is just fun for me to write but it's silly fan girl stuff. <_< I don't think it's fan girl stuff. >_> But would someone honestly read it. *sigh*

Oh, also, snow storm.
Yeah, our work is nice in that there's a hotel right across the street and they provide a room for employees that don't want to drive through snow.
Personally: I WANNA GO HOME! And it scares me to think I could get stuck out in a hotel with no way to get home. I'd rather be home for a snow day. Also, the hotel only provides breakfast. And our cafeteria is only run by one person. Marina does not like to drive in the snow so snow days you can expect no food. And while there's a Wendy's down the street - who wants to drive IN THE SNOW to Wendy's?
I stayed in the hotel last tuesday night into Wednesday. ... *sigh* that was an experience.
Now a week later... same situation for Thursday. *sigh* -_-; Maybe I should just call out. But I hate to do that even though we don't lose out on pay with pto because what if I need that day for a real emergency. <_<; *sigh*
Just pack my stuff and suck it up. x_x

You have to drive to a place that's down the street? It never stops amazing me how huge distances are in N-America.

Looks like only half a mile, if you mean the overpass.

Despite being a nice guy, no one has ever asked me out, and all but one of the people I have asked have declined. I'm 24 fucking years old. I don't know how much more I can take of this.
About five more weeks until Wellbutrin kicks in.

You know, it's funny. There are people who have explicitly stated that they owe me, but they're never there when I actually need help. Being a good person is painful.
