Ugh.
I hate Civics.
I truly do.
I am sitting here in my Civics class typing this (Let's note I am easily one of the youngest members here in the 7th grade.) and my classmates are acting like complete retards.
Think I'm overreacting. Apparently Washington DC and Puerto Rico are US states and Rosa Parks and Martha Stewart are the same person.
And when this idiot DJ didn't know the answer to a question (Which Branch of the US government vetos laws? REALLY!? REALLY!?) He shouted out "Otis!". Yeah, the cow from Back in the Barnyard.
Now if you don't live in America I guess I'd cut you some slack, but most of us in my class have lived in the US (And even my county!)for all of their lives! GET A BRAIN PEOPLE!!!
.............I am slowly losing brain cells by sitting here. HELP.

I'm using a borrowed computer until I can actually afford a new one. (My old one broke last week) I need to work on my English AND History finals. (drafts of both are due Monday) But this computer WON'T EVEN LET ME USE GOOGLE DOCS WHICH WE HAVE TO WRITE THESE ON. So basicaly I'm flipping out cuz I'm worried I might fail both of those finals and also fail both classes.
Edit: Made myself some macaroni and cheese and now I'm feeling much better.

How did the computer break though GhostsandDragons? Could you not install Ubuntu or Mint on the machine with OpenOffice so at least you can complete your assignments?

I swear to God I'm absolutely horrible at every single video game on the planet that has online gameplay.
I spent the better part of about two hours playing in a Skullgirls lobby (I'd still be on it right now if you could actually possibly TALK to the other people in the lobby, but gehhhh you can't) fighting over and over again, and I didn't even win once.
It's not just Skullgirls either. Osu's been fun in single player, but on multiplayer it's just a whole lot of people mocking my skill to hit a button. I think I'm going to find something large and heavy to smash into my face.

I am also not so good with the hitting of the buttons, don't feel too bad. You're not alone! When I play certain kinds of games the real entertainment value is in my comical ineptitude.

@sponge7325: Don't feel bad. Many people (me included) take multiplayer very seriously and this is quite common with fighting games. In this genre, even if you have natural talent, if you don't want to lose a lot you will have to put in exorbitant amounts of time.
I haven't played Skullgirls, so unfortunately I can't offer any pointers other than fighting games 101. Pick a character and stick with them. You shouldn't branch out into different characters more than you have to, at least when you are inexperienced. Try out all the characters and see who meshes with your playstyle the best (avoid execution heavy characters like the plague for now). Look up combo and especially tournament videos featuring that character. At this point you probably won't be able to do a lot of what you'll see, but it will give you a very good idea of how a character should be used. In a fighting game, the only thing more important than knowing the ins and outs of your opponents characters is knowing your own. To play at a high level you need to know exactly what to do in any given situation, in any match-up.
Of course the most important thing is practice. Practice until your thumbs bleed and then practice some more. In training mode practice combos and (I'm assuming Skullgirls has a record/playback function, it's pretty standard these days) set-up situations you have trouble with and try different approaches to countering them. Play other people. Lose a lot, but know why you lost. Learn from the experience and get better. This will take a long time and a lot of effort, but it will be worth it in the end. Trust me.

OK, I just looked up Osu! and how the hell have I never heard of this before? I can't really play it, since I don't have a desk and that would make any kind of serious play impossible, but that looks amazingly fun.
I never thought I would again see the day when I would struggle to read a rhythm game's notes, but holy crap some of that high level stuff is insane. I have no experience with the pretty unique interface, but even so, the fact that my eyes were desperately struggling to keep up is pretty awesome.
If I ever get a desk don't expect to hear from me again. This definitely seems to be the kind of game that would consume my life completely.

I don't have a drawing tablet and the issue is less simply having a flat surface and more having a flat surface at the ideal height. Given the way my room is set up I can really only use my computer on my bed and using the mouse at below waist height isn't exactly ideal for something like this.
