Princess
For the first 3-4 levels in the front didn't really work (took too much damage) so I switched her with the Buccaneer (giving him the best armor around). That said, wow, I'm astonished by her utility. Royal bell combined with the Ninja Decoy and the Hoplite Line Guard does wonders in healing the party every turn, provided the Princess is not hit of course, but it doesn't happen very often. Just in case I spent one point in First aid with the Arbalist so she could cure her to full health after battle. When I unlocked the victory song (Royal veil I believe) things started to get kinda ridicolous since even if she's hit, she will probably be at full health automatically at the end of the fight.
I even decided that it was enough to switch her in the front again, and it's kinda working, but we re talking about Etrian Odyssey after all, so on B2F [hide]having forgotten to rest at the inn, I made a section with low TP on the Ninja and the Hoplite for protection, and encountered three green birds in a row that enjoyed targetting her a lot XD Right now I have a quick save in the middle of the floor wit her in the red zone and the others at half life, luckily I have the new Warp wire in the bag ...[/hide]
Oh, I didn't know she could equip shields, and with a nice sword, in the front her damage is not too shabby, too. Amazing character, the next skill points will go in further passive healing (at least march level 5), then it's time for some buffs.
Hoplite
Not much to say, he tanks as he should, solid character all around.
Ninja
One point in smokescreen to deal full damage in the back, then maxed the decoy, just taken the clone (didn't use yet), next SP will be in TP reduction for spamming the decoy, which is REALLY useful, at level 5 with 80 HP combined with Line guard he can last two or three turns, shame he doesn't get the cures, but so would be broken (and also not really in flavour)
Buccaneer
For now I'm just taking gun mastery to augment damage, probably next will be Quick draw plus trickster. Quick draw with group of enemies kinda sucks though, since being random you can't gang-rape a single monster and end up risking more attacks from them, but it's nice with just one or two, possibly with one already at low health. I also put a single point in Lady luck. Then I'll probably head for Self-taught swordplay (I really like free attacks) and Million thrust.
Arbalist
Beside the single point in first aid to help the Princess, I'm dumping points
in crossbow mastery, and just started taking single points in the elemental skills for conditional drops, next is some big damage skill. For now her damage output is great, can't complain.
So, all in all, I'm happy with my party, I managed to not having even a single death in the party for now with just a couple of trips back to town on B1F, though the journey has not been without thrills [hide](curse you early lynxes! XD)[/hide], and on B2F I did start to save more often
