Off-hand, you had an 11% chance to land it (55% Stun Attack, 20% Resist). The only real perk Stun has going for it is that it doesn't suffer the -30%/application penalty that every other status effect has.

Edit: The game uses "Resistance" as a multiplier so 0% is Immunity, 100% is Neutral, 200% is double.

Incidentally, most the post-game bosses have a 10% to most status effects (with either 1% or flat-out immunity to Instant Death/Petrify). [hide]Kraken[/hide] is the exception and is flat out immune to everything.

They're separate checks, I believe.

So my new party is B P B / A A, and it seems to be working quite well. The buccaneers follow the pierce attacks of the arbalists and the prince, with the exception of when the arbalists use their elemental barrages for the enemies that need elemental damage. I get a total of 9 attacks total on a good round, but as I add more points to the chaser skills it'll be more.
The problem with my party is that it doesn't have much in the way of defense, and it's very phys-heavy.
I don't really have any plans for sub-classing yet, except for one of the arbalists will be a shinobi to duplicate, and someone's going to have a monk sub-class, and someone will have a hoplite sub-class.
All in all, a fairly good party as far as I can tell, but we'll see how it holds up against ol' Narmer... :p

I'd like to note that the Barrages are still Stab attacks so they should be capable of being chased.

[spoiler]Also, Front Mortar on just one of those Arbalists is probably overall better damage than your entire set-up~

But EO3 isn't ever going to throw anything too hard at you for the main game so I doubt it'll really run into a wall that can't be circumvented by just figuring out the encounter. And, honestly, a Prince(ss) alone makes any random group capable of making it through the exploration of the dungeon.[/spoiler]

"Strike" is probably meant to be Bash. It's either a mistranslation or someone at Atlus is just an idiot. Probably both. [hide]Most likely just poorly worded, though I'd need to re-read the in-game description to tell.[/hide]

As for Front Mortar and Revenge parallels, they're not even really that close of a comparison really. The closest thing for EO3 would be Warrior's Might and that's a group setup, not a single character. Revenge was so great because it was basically 100% of the damage needed for many fight and, even into the post-game, was enough for ~30% of the damage you needed in one attack and nothing else in the game really got close enough to compare.
