Re: EOIII Rantage!
Used the Tagen Battou strategy on Abyssal God... Wow, EZ mode much?
Still gonna work my ass on getting a real party for it though. Thinking of...
G/M Z/G H/N
M/P W/B
I'll see if this build gets me the power to one turn the Abyssal God.

Re: EOIII Rantage!
From the Ygg tree, just some passives, sleep mode + rocket legs to regen some TP (it doesn't need to dodge so...), virus scanner to help with ailments (so there'll be someone who isn't completely disabled by one thing or another), and [a few points in] overheat and EM barrier for a wee bit more damage.
Other than that, just a normal hoplite build, line guard, antis, and all that. As much as I luuuuv robits, it's kinda hard to use them, without being just a poor man's [insert class here] for the most part.

The Y/H I used during my LP also essentially did the basic Hoplite Stuff. IIRC it looked something like this:
After a LV 50 retirement (112 Skill Point total at LV99):
Yggdroid:
Max Virus Scanner
Max Infravision
Hoplite:
Shield Mas LV5
Spear Mas LV1 (Required to wield spears)
Bodyguard LV1
Max All Antis
Max Parrys
Max Line Guard
Max Provoke
Max Vigilance
Common:
Max HP up
Max TP up
Equipment:
Trident + Carbide Armor + Singuata + Deep City Medal
Skill Order:
Spear 1 (Allows you to equip spears Spears are MUCH better than daggers/books)
Shield 3 (Screw Line Guard, we'll get it later as filler)
Bodyguard 1 (Best. Skill. Ever.)
Shield 5 (ONTO THE BIG 3!)
Anticold 10 (Awesome)
Antivolt 10 (Awesome)
Antifire 10 (Awesome)
Virus Scanner 10 (Status Immunity? F YEAH!)
Infravision 10 (Really Evasive at Night? F YEAH!)
Provoke 5 (Really Good skill this one, Y/H is best damage sponge)
HP up 10 (Survivability HOOOOO!)
Parry 5 (Survivability HOOOOOO!)
Magic Parry 5 (Survivability HOOOOO!)
Provoke 10 (Y/H is best damage sponge)
TP up 10 (That extra 40 TP man!)
Line Guard 10 (FILLER! Oh, and a few Niche usages that are very niche.)
Vigilance 5 (Filler honestly, could've gotten Shields 10 for max damage red, but its not necessary.)
Alternativly, Drop Line Guard/Vigilance for Max EM Barrier/LV 3 Overheat, or Max Selflessness + Overwatch.
(I personally find EM barrier gets in the way more than it helps, so I avoid it)
You can also choose to get the Antis Later, and get the Parrys/HP up sooner. As long as you get at least one maxed before the LV70 Cap to make the first dragon fight doable.
I typically get my Y/H from retiring a long-lived placeholder H/N, waiting until its level 50 before springing the Retirement.
W/O the Retirement just drop off Vigilance and a level in HP up. (LV9 HP up will get you to the 999 cap just the same)

Re: EOIII Rantage!
I'm kinda glad that the dragons here are actually kinda scary than in iv but
Seesh Wyrm literally beats me up and I get confused, and Drake is a asshole and either AoEs everyone or decides to use his buff and make my damage tiny since my monk's turn is after the first shogun (making the first barrage of might do 1 damage) and just before the Drake's, so trying to Ad Nihilo the buff on the same turn is pretty much futile.
