First, isa, what Kimiko said. We have a strict no-tolerance for torrents and such for EOIII and materials at the moment. :[
As for your question, isa.... my apologies but I cannot answer either way at the moment. Don't get your hopes up, but I am currently working on it. This is the best I can tell you. The moment I have an answer in the affirmative, I will be announcing it.
Honestly, I can only assume that Nich Maragos is the project lead of this game. I have found no information on who the staff is that is working on EOIII. Does anyone have any such information?

Well, let me describe things and explain a bit behind my rationale here. They're from memory but they should be pretty spot on~
There will be spoilers for what follows for what the stratums look like:
First Stratum: Pretty typical "LOOK A FOREST" stratum. The standouts here are the additions of more "other" scenery; you'll see more rivers cutting through the place and those replacing the standard "look trees!" as walls. There's also some spots with scenery replacing "holes" in the map. However, it's just another forest type area. On top of that, it sounds very familiar to the first two games as is. It's not bad, per se, but it really sounds like nothing more than a remix. By now, it's just bland "adventuring!" music that you've heard before.
Second Stratum: An "underwater" area; it's pretty bland as I can't think of too much that stands out. It's a lot of walls, seafloor, and currents. That's really it, to be honest. Maybe it's just me but the coral EVERYWHERE got a bit annoying. However, if nothing else, this has a great track. It's a semi-serene and mysterious track with a good melody. It gets a little repetitive but there's this eerie part to it that is just amazing. It's one of the few tracks that I like throughout.
Third Stratum: A subterranean "volcanic" area. Again, it's a lot of series of walls, "cave-like" floors, and lava tiles. There's nothing that stands out, really. Unless you count the "rafts" that you take to ride on the lava. The BGM is trying for this "mysterious" and "adventuring" tone but ... it doesn't sound that interesting. And it's really repetitive, honestly.
Fourth Stratum: Why the fuck is there a palace of some kind here? It's an oddity, really. Anyway, it's more of the same; there's not too much extra scenery here besides more walls to look at. Honestly, I can't think of anything that stands out here at all. The music here is ... hm ... not that interesting, really; it sounds rather generic "adventuring!" music. I bet you're tired of that response if you've read this far but that's the best way to describe it. No ominous tone; no foreboding, dread, or anything. It's just a "TIME TO EXPLORE" track.
Fifth Stratum: A great finale, really. It's another forest but it's got this crystalline look to it, for lack of better way to describe it. It feels like you're wandering through an ancient Japanese-esque forest that was encased in crystal. The music here is actually quite nice; it's a serene atmosphere that fits the area. Well, the start of it anyway; it quickly gets a bit more upbeat and doesn't fit quite as well. But, whenever I enter the stratum ... it's a great track for the first bit.
Sixth Stratum: It's a fucking forest. In a swamp of some kind. Yes yes, I liked the 5th Stratum when it was another forest but, hey, you spent four stratums without it and this one just follows another. The swampy environment offsets it a bit so it feels more like a foresty-jungle area at least. Anyway, it's kind of a dark and dreary atmosphere, which is fitting I suppose for the "hardest stratum", but it's just a murky swamp in the end. It's not so much bland as it's just ... well ... a swamp. The big standout here is the sense of confusion you get; it's a dark, dreary swamp and then you have areas where you can't navigate (map doesn't work) combined with panels that spin you around. It makes for a very bleak atmosphere where you feel like the very world is against you. Music-wise, it's a good track. It gives off an ominous feeling and a mild sense of dreary-ness. My only complaint is that it spends some time feeling like "hey adventure!" instead of that dread. Thankfully, it spends more time sounding "heavier" and "drearier" than it does "ADVENTURE TIME."
Even then, all six stratums have a little more effort in making things "look" better. A lot of small things like rivers in the first stratum or seeing the seafloor beyond in the second add to the detail ... though it feels a bit weird that there's an invisible wall a lot in the second stratum. Honestly, the third and fourth are easily the weak links of the game; the third stratum just feels like a ho-hum cave with lava and the fourth stratum is just some random palace/castle like area. Not too much stands out in either, though the fourth is better than the third at least.
To be perfectly honest, the second stratum is pretty bland too. Honestly, those three stratums don't have much memorable to me right now. Nothing stands out as awe-inspiring or pretty to look at. When I first reached the fifth stratum, I actually stopped and went "ooh, that's pretty" and never had that happen in the earlier stratums besides maybe the first since it's a really vibrant and pretty area. The 2nd-4th are "stratum-unique walls everywhere, same tiles everywhere, gimmick door/path/etc. here" more than anything unique. The 1st, 5th, and 6th do a better job overall for standing out than those.
To be fair though, the 2nd-4th are pretty obvious in what they're doing and it's not like they can do too much to stand out. You're underwater, in a subterranean molten area, or in a castle/palace area. They look the part but don't do anything special besides look it.
Length-wise, the individual floors take up more space than most of their EO1/EO2 variants. I'm not saying EO3 is longer than those two games but that there's less floors that are more involved so it's still about the same length. There's a lot more running around to be done as well due to whatever unique mechanic of the stratum. The second stratum, for instance, has a lot of going between floors to get to a certain location on a floor so you can deal with the stratum's unique mechanic.
Regardless, I think it only took me two or three afternoons of playing to beat the game which is relatively on par with EO1/EO2 length.
As for the difficulty, you can sub-class to fix whatever "derp didn't know I'd need that" issues for your group. Status effect formula was completely revamped to favor the player, status effects being more plentiful to begin with, and more "semi-broken" skillset combinations (Dark Ether + Meteor, Charge + Meteor, Dual Wield + Self-Taught Swordplay + Ikkitousen, the Princess class in general). Healing items being more accessible and overall useful (i.e., you can buy early multi-target heals and for cheap) helps as well.
It may not be as cripplingly powerful as, say, Revenge felt in EO2 but you're just at an across-the-board better position. I can't see how any reasonable group composition cannot beat the game.
