Made it to the 2nd Stratum, yay. 1st Stratum boss spoilers forthcoming.
[spoiler] Fought Narmer with my entire team at lv12. Puts up a fight, that's for sure. Even runs like a bish when it falls below 50% HP (On the mambo size HP bar bosses have
). Said boss can dive into the mud and you have to find out what hole it's in. Fail to do so and you basically get killed at this level.
I failed once because I manage to not choose the one hole the critter was lying in and I got screwballed over by Earthquake...when Narmer had like 2cm of HP remaining!
Ended up wiping out a Gold F.O.E, Pasaran, on B1F out of rage (Leg Binds from forging the effect onto weapons FTW). Then decided to forsake going to sleep at midnight for another go at the boss.
This time...I came out on top. My plan for when the boss hid in one of 6 holes was to let my Arbalist use some kind of Barrage as insurance to make sure I hit one of the targets everytime this move occured (Why do I feel like this could have backfired on me?).
Everyone was alive at the end which is a plus. What gave me a laugh was the killing blow. It was made by my Zodiac, Pandora. Did only 4 dmg for the kill. Yeah. Worth a few giggles at least.
Did one new quest that opened up after hitting B5F, then stopped for the night. Main team is lv13. Debating if I want to send my farming team of 2 Hoplites + 3 Farmers to the SE B1F chop point to make money or look for a new farm point on B5F. [/spoiler]

Edit: But my parents say I have to do ALL my homework before we'll even go get it... I haven't done all my homework in one night all year. Fake it till you make it!

Exploring B6F. My party's all at lv.18, and I'm finally at the point where I can explore the second stratum without dying instantly. The [hide]Things with the Huge Mouths[/hide] won't drop any [hide]Thick Throats[/hide], but whatever. I do hope I reach lv.23-24 by the end of the stratum, though, if not more. I have skill points to spend!

w00t!! 3rd floor!!
Still have not chanced my first FOE encounter. I think I'm going to rest at the inn, save and then head down there and take one on. I expect to get my ass handed to me, but at least will know what it is that I'm running away from. <_<;
*gulp* (oh and at least if nothing else: I wanna hear what the FOE soundtrack is :3 haha)
But that will have to wait until after work.
... maybe during break today?

B6F. My party's all level 20, and I'm finally seeing some story development.
[hide]Seriously, though, every explorer before my guild must not have heard of Ariadne Threads (not like I needed one). No wonder Olympia was able to kill them all.[/hide] Sigh...it would be more mysterious if not for a Gamefaqs member spoiling a certain something...
