Feeling very aggravated with the 5th stratum.
GODDAMN BLACK ZONES! I thought nothing could be more maddening than the black zones in Strange Journey, and yet, somehow, being able to see on the top screen doesn't really help much at all! I'm so hopelessly lost.
About time I finished up all my releveling and subclassing choosings. Spoilers of that, some sea quests, utilizing a key item I got, and exploring B10F.
First off, I decided on subclasses for everyone in my main party.
Zero - Gladiator/Arbalist (For the +acc passive skill)
Iris - Buccaneer/Ninja (Ninja's +eva passive)
X - Arbalist/Gladiator (Max Charge + Max Front Mortar = Goddamnit X! Since when were you the power brute of Guild Darkfire
?)
Rika - Monk/Princess (Prevent Order saved my ass on more than one occasion. Passive healing out of battle helps reduce the stress on her TP)
Zareth - Wildling/Zodiac (Dark Ether, see Prevent Order. Also Elephant summon confuses stuff at a very high rate)
That took me like 40 minutes to figure out. I kid you not
.
After that...assembled my farming team for whenever I want to get crap or something like that. Works out damn well. I can get 10-12k per run to the B9F take point.
Finally...leveled up my main team back to what it was before I started this whole crazy process (26).
First thing I did...got Ghost Ship's other drop via Formaldehyde because screw 10% drop rate items. Resulted in a holy wow nice rapier for Iris, that's for sure.
Next...utilizing the key item I got to access some new areas. Thank god I got Prevent Order for Rika because Golden Idols...sheesh. Hello new Trigourd/Iron Crab styled enemies...except this time it's ice that you have to use or say hello to 1-6 dmg blows. My only source of ice dmg was Zareth's Ice Star spell for like 40-50 dmg a hit. Lovely. Killed one, then had to retreat because half my team was petrified (Go die in a car fire multi target petrification spell).
Explored the rest of the area past that nasty Golden Idol to find...a big maze filled with more of the screwballs. Not my day, not my day I tell you. Got through relatively unscathed other than a oh hell close call run in with an Idol.
After that, explored what little I could of the 2nd Stratum with my new key item before resuming exploration of the 3rd Stratum.
B10F was a fun floor. Damage tiles abound, Mother Dragon FOEs, and a boss fight in the center of the area.
To be honest...I thought the fight was quite easy. Ice Mist basically makes the girl do laughable amounts of damage while the guy (Who looks pretty cool I might say) tried to damage, but ultimately failed for the most part.
It probably also helped that X screwballed the girl's HP into next Tuesday with a Charged up Front Mortar for over 1000 dmg.
I also think X was the only one to go well below half his max HP during the fight due to one hit from the guy boss...for like 90 damage. X is usually the one taking the highest physical damage of anyone for god's sake!
After battle, decision time. Probably I choose right or I die horribly. Apparently I chose correctly in this situation.
After turning in the main quest, resupplied, rested up, and did a quick save, went to explore the rest of B10F.
Besides being able to spike a Gold FOE for 30k XP split up between my team of 5 and having a long winded battle with what I think was 4 or 5 Mother Dragon FOEs (That resulted in me getting 40k XP split up between my team of 5), nothing much happened until I hit B11F.
Went up, rested and saved, decided to see what this one quest involving exploration of a new area in B9F entailed.
Reached the end and...
*EOII optional boss theme plays*
...I'm screwed.
Turns out I was right in that regard. I only had 2 Amritas on me so I basically crapped out whenever my TP ran out...which was when the boss was around 40-45% HP remaining. I think I could take this sucker at my current level (30 for my team) if I had more Amritas and some extra Nectars at my disposal...unless the bish has an auto revive capability when its HP hits 0.

always spamming those ailments...didn't even get to take even half of its hp..xD though I guess I could really use some better damage output, normally I abuse some weakness..but can't seem to find one to abuse >.<
