My first encounter in the 2nd stratum went a little like this:
"Seriously? A cute little [hide]starfish[/hide]? What's it supposed to do to meeeohgod it hurts make it stop!"
A very similar thing happened in the 3rd stratum when I failed to kill a couple of [hide]eggs[/hide] fast enough and they [hide]hatched[/hide].
I can only wonder what [hide]cute[/hide] and [hide]innocent[/hide] terrors await me in the 4th stratum.

Dam that Kujura[hide] Sending yet another boss after me..>.< though I wonder how he carried the 4th stratum boss around? o.O either way I probably won't be able to kill it just yet it seems...I lack any anti-element skill in my party and I've been suffering quite a bit because of it..closest I got to killing Shin was about halfway >.< [/hide]

Finished off the 3rd Stratum yesterday. Usual boss/FOE spoilers within plus 3rd stratum story spoilers and a little delving into the 4th Stratum.
[spoiler]B11F had some lovely locales...lava rafts, lots of monsters, critical story moments, and so on. Trying to decide how to best represent the lava rafts on my map was a riot too.
Had to choose whose side I was gonna be on here. Went with Armoroad obviously so I could get Shogun unlocked by 3rd stratum's end.
B12F...Poison Dragon FOEs ain't pretty. They're basically the Greedy Lizards from the 1st stratum, just souped up and armed with a nasty party wide damaging attack that can poison.
Also getting pillows thrown at them are large groups of those mushrooms that can confuse a row. Not cool (Hell, I think I ran from any fights that had a bunch of them in it).
Boss...this one seems to be hellbent on wanting you dead when it can pull out Quickman lasers and wipe anyone that doesn't get into defense mode pronto. A real wake up call when Zero and Iris get OHKO'd by Quickman lasers for like 250+ dmg each.
Boss splitting up wasn't too much better. Powerful attacks...oh wait they wasted 80% of those beating up on Zareth's Elephant (Whom I had to actually heal in this fight, depsite it having a max HP over 630 at this stage).
Boss reformed, I got to laugh as Quickman lasers get denied ass kicking potential by Aegis Defense.
Head and Body actually have row attacks. Ok, now I can get a little afraid here.
Boss reformed again...and uh oh I don't have Aegis Defense ready before more Quickman lasers. Somehow everyone survived this time (Barely of course).
Once it split again, it was done. Head got whacked to death, Body tried a suicide attack that failed to kill anyone.
Yay Shogun, yay making a pair of them with lv8 Combat Study so they can get some levels, and yay there being a 3rd stratum nuke a bunch of enemies in 24 hours quest.
I decided to check out the 4th stratum for a bit first though.
The design, name, and music of the 4th stratum is awesome. My favorite thus far no contest.
I basically didn't like any of the enemies I ran across here. They all hit hard, simple as that.
On the plus side, new farm spot for my farmers to utilize. Very easy money plus unlocking a rather nice crossbow for X can't be bad at all.
Main team is lv35 right now. Thinking I'll do that quest to nuke 3rd stratum enemies for 24 hours, then take another stab at the B9F boss. Should be able to handle it by then.[/spoiler]

I forgot to buy warp wire.
So I figured being only on B6F, I wouldn't run into too much trouble (The enemies are pretty easy, and the way back on B5F isn't too far away)
[hide]WHAT THE HECK, OLYMPIA.[/hide]
No seriously, what.
[hide]Three FOEs out of nowhere?![/hide] And no warp wire either?!
For a cute girl, she's pretty heartless ;~;
