Woo finished of the [hide]gatekeeper[/hide]. He was a lot easier once that list got posted. Thanks a lot guys for the help. I went and bought those bash guards as well to try and keep that damn force laser move of his from messing up my guild. Now I have to play with buttons and pressure plates. Woo this game is fun.

4th stratum cleared last night. Spoilers forthcoming about that and an interesting 1st stratum situation I ran across while checking for stuff that had me stunned for a minute.
Kirin...utter FAIL as a boss. Didn't even come close to doing something that was painful aside from a counter that inflicted all binds and Divine Wrath apparently kicking the crap out of anyone with all binds on them.

Got something nice to play with and access to the 5th stratum. Only dinked around there long enough to locate a farm point for my farmers to abuse and unlock some very useful items.

After that, went to the 1st stratum to see what new ways I could find to get killed in areas now accessible to me.

Found a new area on B4F to explore. Calamity God FOE wasn't exactly pretty (Tougher than Kirin at least!), but I managed to down one on my first try at it.

More exploration led to me seeing a new enemy in random fights...oh hell Venomflies!

So...battle gets underway, Zero gets poisoned by one. Single target poison it seems.

Me: "Single target poison attack. Joy. Couldn't they have their MT poison attack from the previous games?"

I quickly realized why it's single target.

Turn ends...

Me: "OH WHAT 356 POISON DAMAGE! WHAT THE CHRIST?"

Yeah, I was NOT expecting that at all. Next couple minutes were me just sitting there amazed at what happened, maybe throwing off a swear or three, then reviving him and finishing the battle.

Proceed to have all future battles with these asses start with Rika Prevent Order'ing the front row. Doesn't help much when the same character gets hit by Poison twice in one turn. There goes another Nectar II down the drain :P.

After that, went up to save and stop there for the day.

Still have areas in the 2nd stratum to check. Gonna...uh, love it...if there's Venomflies around those new areas (Or even in the 5th stratum too for that matter!).
"I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero..." Zero, Mega Man Zero 4

1st Stratum "funnnnnnn"
If the Venomflies get the chance to poison me, they actually do more damage than the Dragons do.

Which I just find to be completely ridiculous.
trying to chase those FOEs on B25F
I'm pretty sure I need to use those red FOEs to my advantage, blocking the escape of those double space moving FOEs.
3rd stratum spoiler stuff ahoy!
Ugh, freaking queen ant. I've tried a couple times to take it down but my team just gets overwhelmed by attendants and such. I'm around mid-high 30's so maybe I'm a little under leveled? Anyone have a couple tips/strategies for it?
3rd Stratum spoilers whee whee whee
Typical suggestion is to just come back later. She's not that annoying herself (relatively low damage output and all) but it's a long battle of attrition as she constantly summons ants that hound you.

But, what's your group? I did it around then but I went with the "KILLSHITNOW" philosophy with Berserker's Vow empowering a massive Warrior's Might.
I'd honestly suggest replacing the Prince(ss)/Shinobi with something else. Doubling up on Yggdroids isn't a terrible idea since you went that route but you really want something with more damage to it. It does mean the Monk/Prince(ss) has to pick up some buffing too, however.

Other than that, I guess just coming back later is all I can say, really. It's not a terribly hard fight but it's definitely one where things can go terribly, terribly wrong very fast if you let things get out of control.

Be sure to exploit Hellfire + Etheric Charge; it should be a good way to clear the field and/or deal nice damage to [hide]Wicked Queen[/hide]. Just make sure it's on your Zodiac (obviously) and probably Monk. If you get Limit Boost on your Yggdroid, use Aegis Defense; the multiple hits + increased Limit generation means you can get a free null (physical) damage turn every few turns. With Clone use, you can still do this with the 4-people invuln Limits (Aegis Shield, Uroboros Guard, though these are much later in the game options).

Jammer rooms + pitfalls + one-way passages + rooms that all look the same + [hide]spinners[/hide] + [hide]Wall eyes[/hide] = no fun
