EOIII Rantage!

I'm not sure if this counts as a spoiler any more but better safe than sorry I suppose.

I just beat [hide]Wicked Queen[/hide] for the quest on B9F. Fight lasted for 64 turns and halfway through it I had to close my DS and go to work. I love my party and all but a few more items would have done wonders for speeding it up.

Wow. I squished [hide]that ant queen[/hide] like the bug she was. Then again I am on the fifth stratum and took on a third stratum optional boss. Line guard made almost all the attacks do nothing. Spam dark eather so I could spam front mortar on the [hide]queen[/hide] and break fist. Then my prince just used protect order so everyone regained like 80 hp a turn.

I was really over leveled for the fight.

Just reached B15F...meh [hide]pits.[/hide]
My Wildling/Zodiac has suddenly become more useful casting Dark Ether on the front row rather than doing anything else (except for Ether Charge + Hellfire), I finally unlocked Ether Return so hopefully his support will last a bit longer.
Although she's wimpy, my Arbalist/Gladiator is finally doing some damage with Charge and F.Mortar. As long as there are no other mobs with elemental AoEs [hide]like Big Snakeheads[/hide], I should be fine.

Boss Time

[spoiler]So I reached the 4th Stratum Boss, it's not that bad except that last time it took me by surprise with its full-binding counter and then landed that thunderbolt skill. Plus after turn 25, Retribuition is killer. Oh yeah...if someone dies I'm screwed, but that happens only if I got lolpwned by the counter.

Main party is at lv40-41, Arbalist spams Charge and Front Mortar every two turns for 500-600 damage (x2 if Double Action triggers), Prince uses Guard Order and Unbind, Monk uses Protect Order, Hoplite stands around, Wildling casts Dark Ether or Ether Charge + Hellfire for roughly 1000 damage (also have a lv5 Lion, but I haven't tried it yet). I am using Regroup Tactic, but I'm unsure on this one since I don't know if it prevents also bindings...should I be using Aegis Barrier? The only skill I can guess is that Retribuition every 5 turns though and I plan on killing Kirin before 30 turns.

I am out of options with the Hoplite/Ninja since I got mastered Provoke/Parries, Senpuku, but with a boss that only uses AoE, Provoke sucks (with the Queen it worked great since she was always targetting her with Empress Hammer and missing). I was thinking about getting her Longstride (since she is in the back row) but I am unsure. I don't really want to respec though, I already respec and retired her once u_u

To speed things up, I have on the bench a Gladiator/Buccaneer with mastered Nine Smashes (the accuracy pretty sucks though) and Lady Luck, a Farmer/Arbalist with Strange Seed, Rotten Egg and Sharpshooter and a Zodiac with Meteor. Other people aren't ready yet...[/spoiler]
