FFFFF-
So watching a movie with my dad last night and I realize as I'm playing my game that I've no where left to explore on B8F so that left me with two choices: A) explore the sea B) attempt the boss
I chose B for some god unknown reason even though I knew I would be partly distracted. I always do a "temp run" to see how bad I will be decimated and what all I should bring.
One or two more levels would not have hurt - AT ALL. And I DEFINITELY needed to bring more Amritas (I only had two Amrita II and one single Amrita).
My Arbalist was the big hitter with his Armor Piercer - he got both Amrita IIs. My Buccaneer used Hanging while my Hoplite used Blitzr-whatever - he ended up getting the single Amrita. I had to use a few Medics to keep my Princess at full health - which really was not a big deal. Most of the attacks were directed at the front line. My Monk was only forced to heal occassionally.
Getting the boss down to that inch of health was where all hell broke loose. It either got stronger all of a sudden or was using some attack that I wasn't catching the name quickly enough (remember - I'm watching TV at the same time here). Either way, my Monk dies first - I have only one Nectar II. I use it on her, but she ends up dieing again later. Then my Arbalist's TP runs out - and then he dies.
So I have my Buccaeer and Hoplite and my Princess. Neither of them have TP so I'm just hacking away. At this point the only reason I've not turned off the game is because I can't be bothered to do so and I'm really into the TV show. I'm just torturing my party *shrugs*. I think at one point I used the Formeldehyde - I can't even remember except that it's no longer in my inventory. Dunno why I used it since I was near death.
And then my Buccaneer dies... my Hoplite gets in like three more attacks before he, too, inevitably succumbs. At this point I realize that this damn whale MUST be near death since it's at that mark where it really is no longer registering on his health scale. My lone Princess gets in about two hits, she's got like 10 HP left.
I'm watching the TV screen, I turn back to my DS and realize - it's a the victory screen. o_O; Uhhhh..... huh?!
:3 My poor Princess, severly injured, with the bodies of her comrads lieing unconscious all around her, stood victorious!!
I thought for two seconds to turn the game off anyways and re-tackle the boss and do it properly but... fuck that! ......... Ariadne Thread, save.
*shrugs* I'll go back later and refight the bastard anyways. Apparently even though I used that item that's suppose to give all the items (I thought) I am still missing one item from him. Did I use it wrong? Oh well *sigh*
I have now opened up Subclasses and I'm busy fretting over what I want my team as...
