I need a sea quest guide cause I can never figure out how to reach certain places. Ive only cleared the [hide]light house[/hide] but Ive yet to actually land at [hide]another city[/hide]. Ive seen [hide]the one that looks oriental [/hide]and one thats [hide]"Surrounded by tides"[/hide]? I got a mission to chart a route to the [hide]tides city[/hide], but can't get past [hide]the stupid ship in the way[/hide].
Also where do you get [hide]hellfire[/hide]?

So I accidentally fast forwarded though what ever the old guy at port was saying, something about carpentry and improving my boat. So far Ive reached [hide]lighthouse, place that gets attacked by shark, port town that gets attacked by just big fish, and the pirate island.[/hide] Now I have that seems to be important [hide]The top mast, some bigger nets, and the 20 move item.[/hide] Thing is I don't have the [hide]cannon[/hide] and what ever the old guy was talking about at the port.

Weird. I haven't run into either a [hide]shark or a big fish....[/hide] But I do have the [hide]cannon[/hide].
Go to [hide]Tortuga[/hide] and then, once you've made your report to the old guy, [hide]return to Tortuga again. This should give you the cannon.[/hide]
Have you already [hide]visited the town in the Northeast whose shipwright loves cheese? I'm assuming you did since that's the one which improves your ship. If you've already rescued their shipwright, don't worry, they'll upgrade your ship automatically once you've unlocked all the right things[/hide]
Once you've gotten the [hide]cannon venture to the statue in the far southeast of the map.[/hide]

Okay, thanks kino. I went and got everything, and I meant those monsters cause I couldn't remember the town name, and they are what attack you for the towns mission.
Now I have to wonder, is there more effective [hide]travel food?[/hide] Cause [hide]20[/hide] turns isn't enough to really get me places. I do use the [hide]top mast to practically double my turns[/hide], but I still have hard times reaching some things.

Yeah, the next food is [hide]salt meat[/hide] for [hide]24 turns[/hide] which still isn't that great because you have to choose between [hide]top mast, cannon, and steel hull[/hide].
And I seriously have only fought the [hide]first lighthouse bird boss[/hide] where are these other monsters at, yo?

@ Kino try the sea quests? o.O or is [hide]lighthouse boss the only monster you've unlocked? which would be weird seeing how you unlock a new monster/set of monsters to fight once you discover a new city/area but yea they're all in the sea quests as far as I know.. [/hide]
Anyways..what exactly does the VIT stat do? I mean I expected it would help increase HP or something like it did in EO2 I think..but I don't see any noticeable effect when wielding equipment with a VIT stat boost other than the number increase for the stat

STR-based damage is divided by the square root of VIT. It does not affect max HP.

Oh well that explains it..xD guess I just assumed it did..
Well I might as well ask about Plague status too..what is it? I know it acts like poison but that's about all I know any subtle differences I should know about?

Not sure if these have already been asked, but lots of [hide]IKKITOUSEN (WARRIOR MIGHT)[/hide] Questions since I'm considering designing a party round it:
A) Does it require a Sword to use? Was curious as to whether Buccaneer can use it with a gun from the back row... though it doesn't seem an ideal job for them, I guess.
B) Assuming yes to the above, is Ninja decent for using it from back instead?
C) For best effect, is it absolutely neccessary to have a [hide]Shogun[/hide]/Pirate for the Self-Taught Swordplay + [hide]Second Sword[/hide] thing? Or will it suffice with [hide]Second Sword + Myoujou[/hide]/[hide]Magatoki[/hide]/Takanoha (Hawk Wings) or other similar attacks?
