Sub-class recommendation for: Pirate, Ninja, and Hoplite?

I was thinking of getting a Pirate/Gladiator for myself to keep in route of skill spam, though I have also considered Shogun/Pirate for hot Swashbuckling action.

Yes, unfortunately.

I believe the fastest moneymaker is farming items in the sixth stratum.

How am I going to subclass a Zodiac? Bear in mind that I already have a ninja doing Dark Ether, so the Zodiac can afford to be more offensive.

Zodiac/Arbalist appears to be the popular one, since you can get Double Action to pull off your Stars.

^That's what I'm doing. I use Meteor every single battle, and it's working just fine for me. ^-^

So, I'm one step away from 100%ing the game, but incredibly frustrated. Does anyone know how the spawning mechanics on the [spoiler]Overlord Squid, or I guess Sea Milk. I know where they appear, but I can't get anything to show up in those spots no matter what I try, after the first few showed up.[/spoiler] (minor sailing spoilers) work? I just can't figure this out, and it's leaving me rather frustrated.
