From what I've heard, Shuccaneers are pretty decent. You slap Second Sword on your main Shogun, and then you get swashbuckling. Swashbuckle increases the number of hits (36% for 2-4 hits at max). That's for two swords during a normal attack. You can use katanas for the ATK boost, and because you're using a normal attack, Second Sword increases your damage output (+50% at max). You then mess around with the skills, but Lady Luck would probably be a decent one to invest in, as it can increase your critical opportunities.
Your only issue is TP, as you lose out on Trickster, which means you may have to spend a couple of points on TP Up.

If the S/B is just going to use normal attacks for damage, then TP shouldn't be an issue.
Also, the usually recommended purpose of Second Sword+Swashbuckling is to generate a lot of hits for another character's Warrior Might to chase, since Second Sword+Swashbuckling separately hit 3.122 times on average (up to 9 times). By themselves, they only deal ~234% damage on average, but that can be boosted to ~260% with a level 10 weapon mastery and some more with critical hits and fire/ice/volt forges.

Well, right now my group looks like
Buccaneer/Gladiator Hoplite/Ninja Monk/Princess
Ninja/Zodiac Zodiac/Arbalist (will sub Gladiator after I retire)
So looking at this, if my Buccaneer is switched to a Shogun, I still need one more party member to make use of Warrior Might. :/ Cannot really see anywhere I can make cuts.

You can still get Warrior Might with your S/B, it might be a little bit more difficult, though. To be honest, I can't actually see where you can make cuts. You might just have to bite the bullet and give it to your S/B. I was still able to make a build with max Warrior Might, Katana Mastery, Swashbuckling, and Warrior Might.

If you're using Shogun/Ninja, you can also use Tagen Battou. It takes a while to set up, but once you do, you can deal 5280% damage with one sword, 5 clones, and 3-5 hits.
