Question about subclasses-

Does taking a subclass let you use that class's weapons? e.g. if my Prince gets a subclass in Hoplite, will he be able to use spears?

Getting a subclass won't directly allow a character to equip that class's equipment, but acquiring the subclass's weapon/shield mastery skill will allow a character to equip that type of equipment. For example, if a prince gains the subclass of hoplite, the prince won't be able to equip spears right away, but once the prince acquires the hoplite's Spear Mastery (even just level 1 is enough), the prince will be able to equip spears.

Ah, thanks. That's good to know!

Is there a way to equip two weapons? I want my Pirate to wield both saber and pistol. Or crossbow, since she's subclassed as Arbalist.

Only the shogun's class skill Second Sword enables equipping two weapons at the same time.

Shogun main is the only way to dual wield. You can then equip any weapon you want, provided you have the masteries for it (i.e., Shogun/Pirate with both Rapier and Gun mastery can dual wield any combination of Rapier and Guns+).

Meh. The only Shogun I have is my Princess's subclass, so I guess my Pirate won't be wielding a gun.
Hmm.. Now I wonder if I should give her a crossbow (for Front Mortar) or keep her rapier (Rapier Mastery is at 10).

More spoilery question:
(third stratum)
Are those decorated rocks on B11F useful for a quest later on? I've explored up to the end of the fourth stratum, and haven't used them yet I think. (if the answer is yes, no need to explain what they're used for)
Is there a way to keep Royal Veil useful for boss/FOE fights in the late second stratum, or do I need to make someone with more active healing skills? I've got two Princes with the skill Mastered, and it was working really well early on.

...It's based on highest HP in the row? Haha, that makes more sense. Also, it is pure evil.

Well, that kind of sucks. My no-TP healing strategy was doing really well for a while, there. Worked on the Narmer and everything. Spamming Kagerou with my Ninja helped a bit until the enemies pulled out the "hit all" abilities.

Oh, another question: Can a hoplite's Bodyguard skill block hit all attacks?

For what it's worth, I did an entire playthrough with a Prince(ss) only healer (i.e., no Monk skills) and without a Hoplite so ... yeah. Even did some of the post-game (Dragons, Quest Bosses) like that so it's not impossible. Royal Veil + Monarch's March + Protect Order is quite sufficient for healing.

As for Bodyguard, it'll block any damage that would've been dealt to the bodyguarded character. Doesn't care how they would've taken that damage.

Well, I'll be investing in Protect order fully, then. Also, that makes Hoplites so nice.

Another question! What exactly is the usefulness of Rally Order?

It raises your max HP so ... to have more HP? It's nice for Yggdroid's using HP Cannon as well since it doesn't heal you when used. Personally, it's a pretty terrible skill.
