Bind the legs so it can't escape, then make sure to get its head, too, so it can't explode. They give like 1500 or 15000 Exp or something, and I think someone mentioned "rare items" in relation to them, too.
Basically EOIII's Metal Slimes.

Spawn mechanics are unknown besides that they have a set spawn location and randomly spawn.
As for fighting them, their AI basically has them typically try to run-away once they've taken damage (or self destruct for those after the first stratum). Leg Bind stops them from fleeing and Head Bind stops them from blowing up.
As for their purpose, they give a rather nice chunk of EXP when killed. The 5th and 6th Stratum versions are abusable for this since they can be forced to, in-battle, spawn more Pasarans endlessly (though the EXP caps after ~1M EXP).

Umm...I have a basic continuity question. I have not played EO or EO2 so i was wondering, are all three labyrinths called the Yggdrasil labyrinth? And if so, do all three have a Yggdrasil tree over them? If so, how does that work? The three cities are not near each other from what I understand, after all.

Just 3 different big trees. If you look at a pic of eoII's town and eoIII's, there is a big tree in both. The eoII one seems to be a bigger tree, because most of the labyrinth is inside the tree, as opposed to underground like the other two games. I think. :T

"Yggdrasil" is not one of a kind. According to EOI (I think)
they're all part of the same magical-technology system that's purifying the world of pollution after the pre-story apocalypse.
Umm...this might sound odd, but is there some place I can find the game's dialogue?

You mean the town dialog, the quest dialog, event messages, or in-dungeon character exposition? There's actually quite a lot of it. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a convenient database or wiki with all of it.

Quick Question:
What are the chances of Fatal Blows with Kubikiri?
I'm using a Bucaneer Subclassed with ninja, so with up to 4 attacks [Maxed Swashbuckling] the skill sounds like it could be a great help.
