20% base, 40% with high enough LUC and TEC. That's pre-resistance.
Factoring in Swashbuckling makes me hate my life but it's not as good as you think since it doesn't just add (seriously, 4 tries of 20% isn't 80% why does everyone think that's how it works). Comes out to a 59% for at least one success (87% if your LUC and TEC are high enough).
Again, that's pre-resistance and assuming four swings.

He's still going to do damage, he just does a lot less if you try keeping your party free of binds. Therica A and the level 2 Unbind you probably have on your monk for Res was enough for me, I forget which element that attack was, but if you have Antifire/Volt or Fire/Volt Mist, that should help reduce the damage you take, and allow you in turn to do more damage to Kirin [Just remember though, if your using Mist that your Fire/Volt attacks weakens as well]. Hope this helps.
Fire is for Retribution (his every 5 turn attack) which is a meager 2% TEC base damage; it scales up to 100 times, however (basically 100 - HP% Left determines his multiplier) ... but, again, it's only a 2% base damage attack. If your defense is above 129 (with 40 TEC), you actually don't take any damage.
As for Volt, that's for Divine Wrath which is a 40% TEC attack with a 100%, 300%, 500%, or 700% multiplier based on the amount of binds you have. He always prefaces it by trying to bind your group so it's fairly "easy" to deal with.

What gives better EXP, a person flying solo [Like a level 35 monk just smashing star fish to death forever for 2000-3000 exp per fight (Just leave the King Starfish alive until he summons 3 sets of monsters, then kill him.) on 7th floor], or that same person being surrounded by 4 farmers with maxed Earth's Bounty and Combat Study?
I mostly ask this because i don't know the multipliers EB and CS give to exp.
