Re: EOIII Questions thread
I think there's something wrong with my Gladiator... here's what she has:
-Subclass: Hoplite: Recuperate LVL 5. So when she defends she gets 30 HP back.
-I usually give her the Limit Skill Lucky Hammer so I can get those rare monster drops.
And here's what happens:
If I know I'm about to kill a monster then I have everyone in my team DEFEND and I only let my Gladiator attack with her Limit Skill: Lucky Hammer. Everyone defends. Then my Gladiator DEFENDS: +30 HP. Then after the monster attacks she uses Lucky Hammer. Sometimes I'm a bit off so she doesn't land the final blow, but even then this happens: she attacks, monster is still alive and before turn is over she gets +30 HP again. Every time she DOES or DOESN'T land the final blow she still gets back 30 HP as if I used Defend again... Is this a glitch? Or what?

Re: EOIII Questions thread
Hm. No, not a glitch, Its a mechanic of the defend function.
When a limit that is activated after your character has "Defended" (+30 HP) the limit will go through and then your character will re-enter the defend stance (+30HP), so that you still block damage.
Essentially, with Second Wind, the Elemental Limits, and Lucky Hammer this will happen:
Character Defends (Recuperate) -> Character uses Limit Skill (Heals/Deals Damage) -> Character re-enters defend state (Recuperate) -> Turn/Battle ends.

Re: EOIII Questions thread
Geez that freaking weird! And here I thought I put points into some skill or maybe it was my armor... I went back and double checked everything just to make sure and nothing seemed to add that extra +30 HP effect. Thanks for clearing that up for me Liferake

Re: EOIII Questions thread
Hey guys!
I don´t want to interrupt you but I gotta question. I´ve tried to find an answer everywhere but couldn´t find anything, so maybe someone here can help me. On b16f in the abyssal shrine, on 7b, there´s an odd door with the head of an elephant and I can´t open it. What do I have to do to get through there?

That door can't be opened unless you're getting the True Ending.

Re: EOIII Questions thread
Okay I completely forgot everything about EOIII after getting one ending so:
1) What are decent builds for a non-WM Shogun, Wildlings, and Yggdroids?
3) A decent endgame party?
3) Any other preparations as I go for the Yggdroid route, and then proceed on to the True Route? (Was there something about level caps and dragons, not looking.)

Re: EOIII Questions thread
^ Did Yggdroids make pretty good [insert any class] as long as you focus on the secondary class, or did I imagine that?
I think Y/Hoplite was almost popular.

Haven't looked at Ygg's skills, though I recall them being called gimmicky.

Re: EOIII Questions thread
^ Yeah, pretty much, but they have good passives, best HP, and you might find a use for the "rocket-dodge to regen TP" thing.
Edit: Secret passive: Bind immunity.
OR, you could be completely impractical about it and Chargin Yalaysia.
