Makes me wonder if Atlus USA would translate "Mononofu" as the more traditional Japanese "Warrior", "Samurai", or simply something as stupid as "Beastmen" :V


Previous Examples:
EOI&II: Swordman > Landsknecht
EO III: Warrior > Gladiator

I don't know. Previous translations usually carried similar meanings, but I have a hard time imagining the new class as a "warrior."

Since their name and appearance have "traditional Japanese warrior" written all over them, I'd have to disagree.


Though I must say that their clothing and build make them almost Oni-like

That bunny-looking chick reminds me of another bunny-looking chick from a previous final fantasy game... i just can't put my finger on it.

And I also LOVE how, well it seems this way, other guild members from other guilds within the game will have their own distinct character portraits. Like how in the sea quests in EO 3 we had the Ninja chick who was looking for a jewel, and the Princess from a far off country who was doing some trials; now we'll know how they look like. This is a HUGE step in a new direction.

I think the bunny girl is my favorite of the new class. Her hair sort of reminds me of the alt. colour for the glasses-wearing female Yggdroid. o: I'm not quite as fond of the wolf-girl, the wolf-dude is okay, and the lion man is pretty cool.

I wonder if you can get several of the unlockable classes in one sweep, or if you'll only be able to get one with each playthrough, like what they did with Shoguns/Yggdroids in EOIII? I'm sort of hoping I won't have to beat the game 3+ times (I want a rabbit and a Mystic and I'll probably want one of the unreleased classes fffff), but it'd be a little dull to get everything in one go... Maybe there'll be a balance, or you'll have to do special quests to unlock new classes?

@Emrin- I like how quest NPCs now have portraits, too. I hope they'll be more useful than some of the sea quest NPCs, though. x'D

I'd prefer the fox girl, but I'm not particularly fond of that design.

I have to laugh at how the new class artwork has been interpreted about five different ways. What's a tetsubo, by the way?
