No, chases are a special class of attack, I think in the same vein as counter attack. Not sure if they can trigger other counters, either.

All Chase Samba/Trick Samba/Counter Samba/Rush Dance/Chase Bind/will not trigger each other, and they will not cause status aliment either.
The are not exactly the same either: Chase Samba/Rush Dance can trigger Link added attacks while others cannot.

Chase isn't a weapon skill. You need to use something that costs TP and is an attack itself. In theory, it could activate on a Bind shot, which might receive addition chases.

I don't think that works well.
Say you are using Leg Shot. If the first shot binds the leg, the second will not; if the first shot didn't, the second may happen. In all cases only one Chase Bind will trigger.
And why are we discussing how to double Chase Bind in one action...? (which I only considered it as to "increase bind Shots damage by 100% of your base damage" skill...)

Edit: I probably will never try it, but I think Long Shot Lv4 should be the basic attack for S/N with Follow Trace.

Can the chases on Chase Bind crit? I'm pretty sure I've seen them crit before, but I haven't been using it for very long.

They can't. My Sniper with 100% crit against bound enemy crit (normal attack) an end game normal mob for about 520, and Chase Bind only hit for about 260.
They can be enhanced by ATK and element forges on your weapon though, but that won't make it any better since attacks are affected too.
IMO, it is not as impressive as Squall Volley, or endless added attack like Rush Dance-Chase Samba. And most importantly, not triggering Link added attacks.

Besides Releasal Spell and eye skills, S/A certainly won't use circle skills at all; I won't do that for D/A and N/A either.
S/A can make bind Shot cost fewer TP, it actually restore D/A's TP if you go for the Mist Dance route; N/A should work more or less the same.
Besides Runemaster and Medic who have a large TP pool and may actually make use of the spells, am I missing anyone else that are good at being a sub Arcanist? (Though I still question R/A's LUC in using aliment Circles)

D/A has a downright terrifying stun rate, to the point it's actually a somewhat reliable form of lockdown, especially with a stun-forged weapon and a few luck boosts.

You probably built a bad Fortress then. Taunt, Party Shields, or buffs are what keep them good. A Taunt fortress just needs to stay alive and look really appetizing, and they'll soak up all the attack targets. I use my Dancer sub for Refresh/Freedom Waltz, and occasionally Regen Waltz if there's a lot of flak flying around the front row.

Are you overleveled or just really tanky? My party basically lives by the fort's immortality.
