The patrols are FOEs. And can only ever see you in straight lines. Toss up a Simple Scope if you're getting caught in unmapped areas.
Also, I'm doing 5th stratum at level 45 and killing FOEs marked Red. Imperial = MVP.

Yeah, I know it's level based. As a point of fact, it doesn't care about how many people are in your party, either- a one-man party at 60 turns almost everything blue.

It's pretty haphazard. Probably just a quick thing they added, comparing your level to the monster's "level."

here. Haven't had much trouble fighting anything really, but if I go against higher level stuff landing binds is really hard. Still working on getting Luc up to par, though, so I guess it's not too big a surprise.

Also, Emobears are a lot more annoying than I expected. Almost scarily beefy.

Drive skills are melee-only, and massively more useful on an I main, due to the increased power, better TP regen via Impulse Edge/Absorber/Finisher, and shorter cooldown thanks to their class skill. N/I is okay too, but do you really need two Imperials?

N/I has the highest damage potential, but requires a lot of setup. N/A should deal plenty of damage anyway. You should have Venom Throw and Ailment Boost by now. When Venom Throw is maxed a Nightseeker's poison can do 700(!!) damage per turn and lets not forget the amount of damage you can deal with Shadow Bite!

Venom Throw is basically murder on anything without poison immunity, yeah. So, basically, if you aren't fighting robots or absurdly lucky opponents, it's a -1TP mass damage ability.

Snipers do an awful job of pretending to be Nightseekers. Just gonna say right now.
Also, you can get everything you NEED out of a N/A pretty quick- Ailment Boost, TP Return, Mastery, Blade Flurry, and all the Throws. Spend the rest on things like Spread Throw, a Cloak, or the various knife skills.

Ditch the bind circles, get Venom Throw. Spread+Venom is a 2-turn "kill everything" attack, at a price of 1 TP. Or -1, if you have Auto Spread.

Landsknecht, if you want to avoid changing anything else. It does basically the same thing- physical/elemental damage, but at the opposite of the speed spectrum.

There aren't many choice actually. If you don't need your Fortress, retire him; if you do need him, then you must give up one of Landsknecht, Nightseeker or Imperial who you like least.
I would choose Fortress from my experience, but that's a party with stronger binders on the back and a main Dancer on the front.
It's your party, your choice to make.
