For main game Etrian Odyssey, when you can't beat a boss, just level up a little.
Unfortunately, that doesn't work post-game due to level cap

Speaking of post-game, this dungeon is really creeping me out. The music, then suddenly the battle music, those messages, the FOEs.

So, I've been a bit behind on my post-endgame, since I was training my second generation of adventurers up to 70 (after my original team became guests then retired). Just now beat the first of the three dragons (Blizzard King, in this instance). It was... disappointingly easy. I know I'm pretty optimized and all that, just surprised at how easily he dropped.

Admittedly, I hit with a 6k Accel Drive, 1k Electric Link (+Links), About 2k from Trick Samba (+stun), and about 6k from Zeus' Wrath and 1.5k from Origin Rune. Poor thing never had a chance. And then I sealed his head.

About the 2nd stratum boss:



Speaking of binds, I'm thinking of "training" my Sniper , because my Runemaster is just another outlet of damage (though a useful one, at that), and I find myself needing status ailments more than ever, as I'm finding my NS relatively unreliable in that department.

Also, I hate to sound like such a whiny scrub, but about the 3rd stratum:

First boss down!! ^_^ Not only did item-farming help gain me more money but it also helped gain me more levels. End result: even though I purchased six Nectars, I ended up only using one in the battle. It wasn't an easy battle, but it wasn't super difficult either.

Just completed the first Cave in the second world - and you know what that means for my airship <3

Head/Arm bind + Spotter is good enough, then had a Nightseeker throwing Spread Throw to land statuses. Unfortunately, the sheer number of Double Slashes I had to use to keep up meant that I didn't get to fire off Holy Gift, which is a damn shame.

By some miracle, I've finally hit Retirement level, so it's time to swap out that useless second Nightseeker for something more fancy, like this hopefully-not-useless Sniper.
