Yeah, I saw one of them drop something, but he was much too close and I was getting too scared to risk trying to go after it.

^_^ Which is another bonus point in this game. I can't remember since the last time in the first game that I was actually SCARED of a FOE. They have become "meh... avoid. meh... I can take it." kind of monsters.

I found time to play again for the first time since the week it was out. Level 11's now, I am catching up to you speedy motherfuckers.

I just go through the main campaign and just retired my 1st set of explorers. I have to say that I feel that EOIV is a heck of alot nicer to players than the previous games. From overall difficulty, to smart fixes to storage and resting, the game felt like a breeze to get through. I still remember how hard the 1st game kicked me in the nuts with the extra dungeon so I hope this picks up in here. Also seconding the creepiness of the extra maze, ugh...

@Zamisk: Don't feel badly. I got through the 1st stratum, then put the game down for a week and 1/2 to play through Fire Emblem 4 (which is a pretty great installment in the series, by the way.) I'm just now at the end of the 3rd stratum, while everyone else is on post-game content X_X

Now, about subclassing:

When do you GET subclassing anyway? I was totally expecting it at the end of Stratum 2.

Also, third stratum enemies suck. Goddamn physical resists everywhere, augh.

I don't see how... since I'm getting my ass handed to me on a frequent basis and I"m like "NEED MORE DEFENSE!" :\

Actually I think it has more to do with me screwing up in the overworld and getting attacked by a foe and spending too much money on reviving my party.

Seriously, though, I'm actually not THAT hard up on money. I just was at that particular time because I had JUST gotten new weapons and some Nectars. That's why I was out in the overworld in the first place - I wanted to rebuild my stock of gold. Nah, I think I'm about where I need to be now. I probably just don't spend as much time Item Farming as I should - which if I did would probably solve some of my Leveling Up issues like it did with the first boss.

Also:
Can someone please explain to me how the Landsknetch's Elemental Link spells work. She uses the skill, say Fire, and I see Fire, but I never see any other party member have Fire attributed to their attack as the skill description claims. Am I doing something wrong?
