Well, I finally beat the .



Now that I've finally unlocked the , I have my party for .

New Game+ Rant!

So I finished mapping the 6th dungeon. Finally. I kept getting wiped out all the time, sometimes before I even reached the spot I got to last time.

I figured I'd have to do the dragons before taking on the ultra-super-boss of the game. I'd read that the one in the first land (fire) is easiest, and the tip that the rare food close to it gives fire resistance. So I was as prepared as possible without specific forging. I took the guest character too.

And then the dragon wiped out my party in about four or five turns. Twice.

Which means, unfortunately, that yet another Etrian Odyssey will go without completion by me

*shrug* Ah well, at least I got to read the backstory diary entries in the 6th dungeon.

Regarding Dragon:

The fire dragon never did any status effects to me. It just did that fire breath attack every other turn. The other turns were that stomp attack. My Medic couldn't heal and revive quickly enough to keep up, so other characters (the ones that survived at least) would have to pitch in, foregoing their own contributions to the battle. This spirals from bad to worse, and in a few turns everyone is dead.

But nevermind. I've given up and moved on. Like I said, at least I got to read those diary entries.

I suggest dealing with the Blizzard Lord (Drake) first. Binding his head shuts off nearly his entire arsenal of attacks. The guest member is quite useful since he can protect your party and also has Ice Rune to reduce the damage of his breath attack.

How do forges on secondary weapons work, anyway?
