Honestly I've yet to try a bind sniper. My last attempt was Sniper/Imperial, to see if the crits on drives were worth it. They really aren't.

Spotter+Squall Volley pretty much eliminates any need for leg binding so bind resistances can't build up. But I guess the Arcanist's reset skill could also help with that?

I just use it because it only costs 6 sp and my party doesn't require many buffs
I love chase bind for random encounters especially with TP return

Proficiency DOES work with drive skills. Not that you notice except for "oh hey that one did 2x damage," but it's certainly valid. And honestly? It's because I need SOMEONE doing elemental damage, unless everything else is physical-only friendly.

Which, after an entire section of physical/venom resistant robots, doesn't seem too likely? I dunno, maybe I'm just paranoid.

IMO the further into the game you go, the more you'll need ELE damage output, which is what makes Imperials so useful (and, conversely, Bushi relatively useless).

I mean, my Imperial hits for 16k+ easily when charged (ie, consistently), while my Bushi struggles to even hit 10k with that one Nightseeker skill that hits 4 times.. I don't even bother with the Bushi Multi-Slash because you need to be at 1 HP for it to proc 10 times... At 40% HP I think it only hit like 3-4 times or something around that.
