This is no rantage, but EO4 is just SO good. I think it might be my favourite 3DS game.

Well, I've defeated all three dragons, and explored all of the sixth stratum's third floor, but now I don't know whether I want to levelgrind a bit until I feel ready to face what lies ahead of me, or to start a NG+ with a very gimmicky part I have planned... Hm...
On another note, I broke the Blizzard King really hard with Chaos Circle, Kirjonen's Ice Rune, some Ice Charms, and a couple Head Binds. Not to mention a couple Stuns from my dancer. I love breaking bosses.

Got to the 2nd Land with all the sheep and other dangerous animals. It wasn't a great idea to fight a Dream Eater on level 23, but actually managed to survive (with all of my party members).

I know I just asked an EO3 question, but I'm playing both at once (I was in the middle of 3 when I got a 3DS through a fluke), so I had a question on 4:
My dancer's subbed as Nightseeker, and I was wondering if it was worth picking up the NS's status infliction skills, rather than just the passives/blade fury/assassinate (?). My Dancer has pretty average luck, so I dunno if it would be a waste of skill points or I should focus on something else. I'm up to my neck in dances so I think he's fine without getting more of those for the time being.
Also, what weapon attack skills are good on the Bushi? I was thinking Shockwave, Fire/Ice slash, Flash slice, and Fierce Strike judging by the skill sim. I already got all the points she needs in blood surge and the like, so now I'm figuring out the others. Again, advice is really appreciated!

Oh, good to know about the bug!
He uses primarily tangos. My usual order of business is to set up regen waltz/refresh or freedom waltz if I'm fighting something that does a lot of bind or status, and then just set up tangos-->wide dance (usually Energy Tango, though I'll do attack or guard if my team needs it)
I rarely use sambas unless it's counter samba

WELL I kinda went into it ass half-cocked so yeah WD leaves him mainly running support, but I was wondering if Dancers are any good at using the NS skills...especially after phazing out my S and A (for a far more inferior M/A so i might have to go back on that haha) I don't have a dedicated status inflictor.
I think if I put him in the back row he could prob support better since it's basically my back row he's boosting most of the time

A subbed dn isn't going to do much with statuses, especially from the back rank. You'll inflict some but without an n to capitalise on them, I don't see much point.
If you're trying to make them a support you might as well make them a DM, but at your level that's not going to be that great either

Eh, if you can't decide on a sub, then you'd go L or B for damage dealers, no questions asked (B even works on mainclass Rs)
For supports, an R of some kind in the party gives you the resistance runes which helps a lot on the dragons if nothing else. Blazing Lizard is pretty hard without a fire rune user... but not ridiculous. Subbing D for support can't go wrong and M somewhere in the party on a good TEC character keeps you from having to use Somaprimes/Nectars all the time and Nectar IIs to actually revive someone against a tough enemy.
Subbing for things like Free Energy and Auto-cloak sounds kinda silly, albiet less situational then stuff like D subs for bind/status enemies. And it'd still give you resist runes and Follow Trace I guess :V Just they might not be on well-suited characters. (Subclassed follow trace isn't as exciting as one would hope, either...)
I did try R's tp passives on a Bushi main while doing an elemental build since they're the class that really does have TP issues, but 15%~ change of no cost and 10% more tp really doesn't do much of anything :/ Later I realized auto-surge/deep breath was more then enough, thankfully.

BI would make a bit more sense for an elemental bushi, but that won't be an option till a bit later.
You'd get tp for hitting weaknesses, killing foes and just hitting people. Along with bonuses to elemental damage.
Makes me wonder if you have a weapon forged with each element, if you count as a hit to each element

TEC? That only affects ailments and Runemaster spells. B/I would be fine, although, I went for B/L after I decided against B/R anyway.
R/I I imagine is pretty nice, though. They don't get as much benefit from R/B anyway since they don't get the power boost or defiance boosts. R/B is probably better though since the TP isn't really a big issue for Rs by the time you're that far in, I imagine, and you get Endure and more damage off subbing B.
Having 3 people with Endure in my last EO4 party was pretty awesome.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Medic's heals and Arcanist's regen+Circle Dismissing skills >> I would have gotten some good use out of Arcanist dismissals in randoms, but, A/M is so starved for points until postgame as it is... there's just so many good things to grab.
But yeah, it -definitely- does not affect Bushi's elemental skills or the Imperial's drives. Those are physical skills dealing Cut damage as well. (or Bash in one case) Technically Accel Drive is only non-elemental, but it's still a weapon attack and based off STR.
If it did, R/I would be pretty awesome, though. Even if it was a STR/TEC hybrid skill (which has never existed in an EO game afaik) you could just switch the R/I into the front row for one turn to blast the enemy with a drive, and then switch them back for normal runes whilst cooling down.

I am going slowly insane on my 3x Dancer challenge run.
Not because of any boss fight or any sort of brick wall difficulty or anything. No. Because the stupid "clear a bunch of enemies on 4/2F in a specific order" quest absolutely refuses to generate the right encounters and I keep running out of TP before I'm finished.

Oh yeah, that quest is a pain, but the reward of another burst slot is too good to ignore.
I remembered learning which parts of the map were better for spawning which enemies at which time of day. XD
You'll definitely want Amritas, and to make good use of Full Retreat to ignore as many battles as you can. I assume with a party like that, someone must have Energy Tango to help out some, at least.
Saving it for later so you have better equipment wouldn't be so bad, either. It's a real pain with a normal party in the first place.
