I wouldn't say the class is flawed if main-classing it is the best option! They're not going to be perfect, but that's just how balance goes.

Well, yeah, that's what I was just arguing a few posts ago- even if you're going for Star Drop you may be better off with an L (if you don't actually require the medic for healing)

Replaying (NG+ ofc) the game for the 3rd time already, the 2nd time was until the 2nd stratum with a new team then I said "to hell with it" and played through with my endgame team and buffed them for the postgame. Then I NG+'ed again and I'm about to take down the 1st stratum boss. The team is working well so far, not sure about what to sub when I get to it, but it's still a ways away so I should know what I need by then. Any thoughts? Party below, team names too because I hath no shame. Possible spoilers in the image.

I have decided - I'm going to delete my EOIV file and start over. ^_^

The end game is being boring to me (and I think my end game team SUCKS) and I want the feel of genuine exploration with a fresh team. EOU is great but I really want that whole party building thing and I'm too busy with story mode. Been having serious urges to play this game again and I really want some fun with it. (Plus the game is just fun and beautiful in many respects and I hate to think it's just sitting in my game case unplayed)

So I'll be restarting my game file. Farewell to my old team. XD

Why not just new game plus and play through with a new party like I'm doing?

Because that doesn't feel "genuine" to me. I started to but the moment it brought up my old party it was like "eeeh..." so I then did a full data delete. ^_^ I like that thrill of the first step and the first moment of going out and thinking 'oh gods, one wrong screw up and I'm doomed'.

So here is my party currently:
Landsknecht, Nightseeker, Dancer
Medic, Runemaster

The Runemaster will be replaced by that one class whose name escapes me .. Arcanist was it? And the Medic is going to become a subclass with one of the other later types, but I haven't decided which.

Which leads me to a question: How do Nightseekers in the backrow work? They use front row weapons so how are they all that effective. I've not researched their skills yet, but I had thought of putting the nightseeker in the back at some point. Or the Dancer (but all of her skills are row-oriented so far, gah!)

Back row nightseeker would be a pure support character, mostly for using status effects (and then whatever support abilities their subclass gave). Since switching is free though, you could still plan to throw them in the front row for a turn to use that delicious damage modifier on status effected enemies.

...honestly though, nightseeker does such godly damage on enemies with status effects on them (and Swift Edge is good even otherwise, once you reach it) that it seems like a waste to not have them in the front row at least sometimes.

Yeah I was reading up on them a little on the net and through old posts and I think that's about right. I think my Medic is just going to have to stay in the back. Damn, but who should I sub later on into that spot? If I recall all the unlockables are front liners.

What about Dancer as a back row? I know she can use bow but her skills are line oriented, aren't they?

...... Uhh... Garrett ^_^;; If you READ my post you'll see that's my plan (well to get rid of her anyways, dunno what I'm subclassing as a healer yet) and I'm asking for thoughts on what to put there because it's a backrow spot...

Liking my Nightseeker. I want it to chase my Landsknecht (which I'm doing those elemental chase attack skills), though, but currently he's faster. I dunno if it's because of my weapon or what and I should start looking into it. :\ BE FAST MY LANDSKNECHT! BE FAST!
