In all EO games it's possible to beat the main story with any reasonably balanced team you want. By reasonably balanced I mean for example not all squishy mages or noone with healing skills or such. Post-game is a different matter entirely, but main game, go with whatever combination of characters and classes you like or fits your story.

I know about the second entrance, but at the bottom of that entrance is a dead end, which is what's confusing me so much. so i've just been trying to farm FOE's so that i can destroy all the plated chasers so i can explore freely.

hmm... can't say that i finished the place, but i just looked at some maps, and it seems that the general idea is to go down through the first entrance, and either take the top left stairs, or the ones just left of the geo pole, if you have the shortcut unlocked. after that you should head over to the top right corner of B2F and there should be some stairs that take you to an area of B3F where kibagami will join you, and you can go on. keep in mind that on B3F you can find ice stakes in hidden rooms.

Started my first solo run today - as a Bushi. Because I'm not THAT masochistic, I gave him Kibagami's starting katana, subbed him as a Fortress and started a NG+.
And after meeting my first baboons, I realized that Endure will probably be my best friend on this journey...

I'm starting up this game again, don't know how long I'll keep playing it. It has never kept my interest for very long.

I haven't gotten past the area from the demo in any of my restarts, lol. And I guess I meant I just dislike game-breaking strategies, more than difficulty.

I haven't had a spare second this week now that I'm counselling at my camp, but this weekend I plan on playing a bunch. I'll stick with it till then, sounds good.
