Speaking of whips- Relapse Curse resulted in at least 5 turns of Boosted Viper on the final boss (as well as any foe, but) but not only that, I had the thing FULLY BOUND for 5 turns while I wailed on it with Ecstasy and everything else.
My party of DH/L S/T/H has very little damage synergy, and Expert without protector means at -least- 2/3 buff slots go to defense and I can't use War Cry so I have no worthy damage buffs. S is actually alright damage as long as you have Charge for Sagittarius, but L can't do much with either of his chasers in this party, and since the devs futz'd up LUC and TEC and made TEC the strong stat for ailment/bind landing he sucks for trying to use those, either, as much as I try anyway with Triple Charge.
But with just Relapse Curse and my S/L trying their hardest to land their niche binds in tandem with the DH and Hexer, olololololol ecstasy and unmoving enemies.
But yeah, that was an amazingly breezy final boss considering my damage is fairly slow-going without landing Viper against FOE/Boss's slowly raising resistances. Even unboosted Viper still manages to deal almost half the damage my party is pulling off >_>; Upside is randoms fall very quickly with Viper/Stoning Curse picking off two enemies turn 1 almost without fail.
At least Sword DHs can get Bait, I suppose. Eventually. With Bravery's Gift it seems like it'd work pretty well on enemies that mostly use multi-hitting attacks.

So I finally hit the fifth stratum after pure torture with fighting the fourth stratum boss. Then I got to the fight and I was really worried cause they were the absolute hardest thing for me in Story mode. ...And I beat them in one try. Welp. Guess the fifth stratum's going to be a cakewalk.
Also I'm now completely convinced that gunner binds are the absolute worst thing on the face of the planet, and should never be used or have any points put into ever. Seriously. My Dark Hunter and Hexer kept the boss locked down hard.

Gunner binds should be fine... as long as you're using them with a maxed action boost >>

I got to B25F. I immediately wished I hadn't. Monsters are one-shotting party members left and right, and those dragonflies. Ooh, those dragonflies... I'm gonna end up spending a loooot of time on this floor, I can tell...

Leveling your characters up in previous floors helps a lot I picked up.
Also, what is your team? I am getting curious!

Have the Dark Hunter and Hexer team up on binds. It helps especially in FOE and Boss Fights. Also, Troubadours use Passive Healing of HP and TP when using some of their songs. It is best after battles you have the field spell that heals as well. Don't know much about Ronin, but I haven't experimented with Front Row Alchemist yet.

Alchemist's all-target formulas are important for random battles (If you use Troub's damage buff and than the formula, you can nearly one-shot the enemy party), and you should definitely max Stoning Curse and equip LUC/TEC gear on the hexer. Stoning Curse should have nearly 100% success rate on most random enemies.
Max Viper will also hit most enemies with Poison at high accuracy and will one-shot most enemies that way for a long while. Between that, Stoning, and an Alchemist, you should be able to kill everything turn one without much issue- some kind of enemy skill for the Ronin helps with their lack of turn-one-usable attacks. Front-row Alc probably has to spam the physical defense formula I guess, though... >_>; You could maybe switch it to the back for randoms? I don't know how front-row Alc really works out.
By then you should have the Luck Staff for +20 luck I think (might not be 'til later), and the Moss Brooch is another +10; TEC is better for ailments/binds in this game (because the devs derped) but you can't beat stat boosts that high for a long while, so.
Biggest issue is dying in one hit to enemies before you even move. Not much to do for that but equip Boots to increase turn rate and AGI, though.
